Phil Mickelson opened up about Wesley Bryan's "smack talk" as the two collaborated for a YouTube video. The Bryan Bros released a video with the six-time Major winner on their YouTube channel.

Mickelson shared some glimpses of the video on his Instagram account. He wrote in the caption:

"Have I finally met my match in the art of smack talk? Part 1 is live now on the Bryan Bros YouTube channel—Part 2 on my channel tomorrow."

In one of the clips, Wesley Bryan spoke about Mickelson's shot speed, saying:

"Your ball came whistling off the face. You been doing some speed training?"

To which Mickelson replied:

"I haven't, actually. I have not even f*** into to the gym in two years."
"No, I was just kidding. I can tell," Wesley replied.

In another video, Wesley Bryan took a jibe at Mickelson. He said:

"I shot 6-over, home course, through nine holes... I was really, really panicking about this match, but then I thought about who my opponent was, so it kind of eased the pain a little bit."
"Well, I'm happy for you, you turned it around," Mickelson replied.

Phil Mickelson is currently enjoying his offseason as there are no scheduled LIV Golf tournaments this week. The third season of the Saudi-backed league finished in September 2024, and the new season will start in February 2025. The LIV golfers have a long period away from official tournaments before they return to play in the golf league.

In the third season of LIV Golf, Phil Mickelson played in 14 tournaments. However, he had a rough time on the greens in 2024. He started with a T51 finish at the Mayakoba Tournament and then finished T30 in Las Vegas before finally having a good outing in Jeddah, where he finished T6. Some of his notable finishes in 2024 were T22 in Singapore, T27 in Andalucia, and T23 in Chicago. Mickelson settled in 46th place in the season standings.

Phil Mickelson teases new 2v2 series with Grant Horvat

Mickelson has made plenty of headlines in 2024 for his active presence on social media. This year he collaborated with some renowned YouTubers and played golf with them.

He collaborated with YouTuber Grant Horvat for the second time in a video released last month. Following their collaboration, Mickelson and Horvat announced a brand new 2v2 series featuring celebrities and other players for their YouTube channel. The new golf series is "coming in January."

Phil Mickelson also collaborated with two-time Major winner Bryson DeChambeau for his popular golf series called Break 50. In the unique challenge, DeChambeau collaborated with different golfers and renowned personalities to play 18 holes in 50 strokes.

For the series, DeChambeau collaborated with several famous personalities such as Donald Trump, John Daly, and Sergio Garcia. His video with Mickelson has already garnered 2.9 million views on his channel. The LIV golfer has around 1.66 million subscribers to his channel.
