With the Paris Olympics approaching, athletes worldwide are preparing for the prestigious event. Headshots of qualified golfers have been uploaded to the Olympics' official website, and fans on social media have humorously compared these player headshots to mugshots.

Recently, sports analyst Pamela Maldonado, shared these pictures on her X (formerly Twitter) account, noting how strange the golfers' headshots looked.

Nuclr Golf reshared the headshot pictures on its X account, writing:

"#MUGSHOTS (PART 2): Headshot photos of golfers competing in Paris have surfaced on the Olympics official website (first spotted by @pamelam35)."

Fans in the comments section compared the headshots to mugshot photos. One fan took a jibe at the controversial arrest of Scottie Scheffler at the 2024 PGA Championship.

"Scottie getting flashbacks," another fan commented.

Another fan simply called them bad.

"These are so bad omg lol," a fan wrote.
"Headshots or mugshots," another fan jotted.

One fan commented that Rory McIlroy looked like a kidnapper in his picture.

"Rory looks like he kidnapped the Lindbergh baby," another fan wrote.

In Pictures: Scottie Scheffler's Mugshot from His Arrest at the 2024 PGA Championship

Scottie Scheffler was arrested for reportedly overspeeding and accidentally injuring a police officer on duty at the 2024 PGA Championship. The American golfer was running late for his tee time for the second round of the Major earlier this year. However, there was a long traffic jam following an accident that morning in which a pedestrian was killed.

As Scottie Scheffler was heading to Valhalla Golf Course, he was involved in a car accident with the police. Reportedly, the police tried to stop him, but his overspeeding led to a policeman sustaining "abrasions on his left wrist and knees."

Scottie Scheffler was arrested at the gate of the Valhalla Golf Course and later taken to the police station, where his mugshots were taken. The pictures quickly went viral on the internet, with some even comparing it to Tiger Woods's infamous arrest on DUI charges in 2017.

Scottie Scheffler was soon released from prison and later teed off at the 2024 PGA Championship. The Louisville Police investigated the case, and all charges against Scheffler were dropped due to a lack of evidence.

Scheffler plays at this week's Open Championship and will represent his country at the Paris Olympics next month. Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, and Wyndham Clark will join him at the Olympics. Rory McIlroy has also qualified for the Olympics and will play for Ireland alongside Shane Lowry.

Meanwhile, this week's Open Championship is the final Major of the year, scheduled to conclude with the finale on Sunday, July 21.
