What happened to Scottie Scheffler?

During Christmas, while preparing dinner, Scottie Scheffler injured his right-hand palm. He sustained a puncture wound from broken glass and was forced to withdraw from The Sentry.

Last month, Scheffler's manager Blake Smith released a statement on the golfer's behalf, stating that he would probably return to play at the American Express. Smith said:

"On Christmas Day while preparing dinner, Scottie sustained a puncture wound to the palm of his right hand from a broken glass. Small glass fragments remained in the palm which required surgery. He has been told that he should be back to 100% in three to four weeks. Unfortunately, he will have to withdraw from The Sentry. His next scheduled tournament is The American Express."

However, Scottie Scheffler continues to rehabilitate from his hand injury and will take some more time before playing his first tournament of the year. As per the new update, he is expected to return at The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament. The event will take place from January 30 to February 2, 2025.

Scottie Scheffler started his 2024 season at The Sentry, where he finished in T5 place. He had an incredible season in 2024, where he won 7 PGA Tour events, a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, and also defended his title at the Hero World Challenge. Fans are anxiously waiting for him to return in 2025.
