NFL star Jalen Hurts enjoys golf, so much so that he gifted all his offensive linemen a golf cart. Every Christmas, NFL players give their teammates gifts.

When it's a quarterback or running back, they often treat the unheralded blockers to something nice. Hurts and his backfield mate Saquon Barkley, who is inching towards the NFL's single-season rushing record, decided to treat their offensive line with a very useful golf-related gift.

Watch the video below:

Both players are highly dependent on the line, which is made up of Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Mekhi Becton, and Lane Johnson. These players have helped pave the way for a combined 27 rushing touchdowns this year.

Barkley is on a $12.58 million salary, and Hurts earns $51 million every year and has a net worth of $30 million (per Celebrity Net Worth). They can afford to spend a lot on their offensive line, even if a fleet of golf carts might be rather expensive. The carts were customized, which only adds to the value.

Each cart came with the name and number of the appropriate player. Barkley and Hurts got one themselves to match with their blockers. Hurts and Barkley have helped the Eagles to a top record in the NFL. They're closing in on the NFC East title.

Hurts, however, is hurt now. He suffered a concussion on a rushing attempt last week and is unlikely to suit up this week. Despite that, he and Barkley still honored their teammates with special, custom golf cart gifts.

NFL star Jalen Hurts can play golf but chooses not to

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts enjoys golf, but he doesn't play. A lot of professional athletes take up the sport in their leisure time and especially in retirement but Hurts currently doesn't.

This is not due to a contractual stipulation, though. Some players have contractual clauses that prohibit certain behaviors, like playing basketball. This is largely to prevent non-football-related injuries.

Hurts doesn't have a clause, though. His once-record contract doesn't prohibit golf, but his team owner, Jeffrey Lurie, asked him not to become obsessed with it. Initially, Hurts said he declined to play a tournament in November with Saquon Barkley and Barack Obama because he wasn't allowed to.

But per Eagles reporter Jeff McLane, Hurts isn't contractually barred and could play if he really wanted to. A team spokesman clarified that this was not another Kyler Murray situation.

When Murray signed his extension, the contract reportedly had a "homework clause" that stipulated how much film study Murray, who's been accused of playing too many video games during the season, had to do. Hurts has no such clause, but he's putting football over golf anyway.
