WATCH: $60m-worth LIV Golfer switches focus to simulator golf during off-season

LIV golfer Ian Poulter practiced some shots in the simulator during the off-season of the Saudi league. The breakaway series players have been enjoying plenty of time away from the greens following the conclusion of the third season of LIV Golf in September 2024. As the fourth season of LIV Golf is around the corner, players have started with a practice session.

Recently, Ian Poulter, who has a net worth of $60 million as per Celebrity Net Worth, shared a video of himself practicing some shots on the simulator ahead of the start of the new season. Sharing the video, he wrote on X:

Playing golf on the simulator has become pretty popular these days. While Ian Poulter was spotted taking shots on the big screens, PGA Tour's Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy have created a league whose matches will take place on the simulator.

The upcoming tech-infused TGL series will start this week on January 7, taking place at Sofi Center Stadium. This series’ matches will officially take place on the simulator in the tripled and singles format. It will have 15 regular matches and then semifinals and a finale towards the end.

TGL features 24 players playing in teams of six. However, it only features PGA Tour players. Previously, Jon Rahm was also part of the series; however, he joined LIV Golf last year and thus withdrew from the TGL.

When will Ian Poulter return to play?

The fourth season of LIV Golf will start on February 6 in Saudi Arabia. The tournament will take place at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia from February 6 to 8. Following the Riyadh event, players will head to compete at the LIV Golf Adelaide tournament, which will take place from February 14 to 16. This event will take place at The Grange Golf Club.

Meanwhile, in the last season of the Saudi Circuit, Ian Poulter played in 14 tournaments and had some decent finishes. He started the campaign at the Mayakoba event, where he settled in 28th place. Following that, he played in Las Vegas and tied for 21st place, and then finished 51st in the Jeddah event.
