WATCH: Scott Vincent's hole-in-one at LIV Golf Dallas

Scott Vincent hit a crucial hole-in-one while competing in the LIV Golf Dallas Team Championship quarterfinals on Friday, 20 September at Maridoe Golf Club in Dallas, Texas. Smash GC competed with Iron Heads GC in the matchup.

In 2024, Smash GC won two LIV Golf events, i.e. Las Vegas and Greenbrier, and was positioned fourth in the standings. While Iron Heads was at the bottom of the standings among 13 teams.

On the par-3 14th, Scott Vincent scored a hole-in-one in the foursome match against Smash GC. He was paired with Jinichiro Kozuma against Jason Kokrak and Graeme McDowell.

Smash GC had started strong and were 4 up through 11 holes. However, the hole-in-one changed the course of the game. Kozuma sank two putts and a birdie on the first extra hole to emerge victorious.

Talking about the hole-in-one, Vincent said, via LIV Golf:

"That was unbelievable, very exciting. This is exactly what the match play brings, just a lot of unknowns and amazing opportunities. To bounce back from being four shots down at one stage, that was just incredible."

Vincent made the second ace of his career in the foursome match. He said that his caddie had called it in advance.

"My caddie told me before the shot that 'We need to be going straight at this pin, like we're going to make a hole-in-one,' and sure enough it happened. Seems like he had a good feeling about it. I was just focused on hitting the shot."

Iron Heads won the faceoff against Smash GC. The results of the faceoff are as follows:

• Singles 1: Brooks Koepka (Smash) def. Kevin Na (Iron Heads), 6 & 5
• Singles 2: Danny Lee (Iron Heads) def. Talor Gooch (Smash), 1 up.
• Foursomes: Jinichiro Kozuma-Scott Vincent (Iron Heads) def. Jason Kokrak-Graeme McDowell, 19 holes.

Iron Heads GC would be facing the mighty Crushers GC in the semifinal. Scott Vincent will go against Paul Casey in a singles match. The matchups for the semifinals are as follows:

• Singles 1: Paul Casey (Crushers) vs. Scott Vincent (Iron Heads)
• Singles 2: Bryson DeChambeau (Crushers) vs. Danny Lee (Iron Heads)
• Foursomes: Anirban Lahiri-Charles Howell III (Crushers) vs. Kevin Na-Jinichiro Kozuma (Iron Heads)

Iron Heads GC finished 12th last year. It is already better off than last year.
