Tony Bellew is currently competing in the 2024 BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am at the Wentworth Golf Club. The former pro boxer was paired with Matteo Manassero, Sam Thompson, and Gwilym Lee and started his campaign from the 17th tee.
After completing the 17th and 18th holes, Bellew walked to the 1st tee and holed an albatross on the par-5 hole. The 41-year-old former boxer was overwhelmed with emotions and enthusiastically celebrated the albatross. Bellew ran, did a head roll on the course, sat on his knee pointing towards the crowd, and, in the end, hugged his caddie.

The albatross is a remarkable achievement as Wentworth is a challenging golf course, not to mention handling nerves in front of an enormous crowd, especially for a non-professional golfer.
The 2024 BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am has celebrities from various fields competing at the event. Some of the most prominent names alongside Tony Bellew in the field for the celebrity pro-am are Tom Holland, Andy Murray, Gareth Bale, Jimmy Anderson, etc. Three amateurs are paired with a pro golfer in this pro-am tournament, which is one of the USPs of this prominent DP World Tour event.
