Frederik Kjettrup became the newest member of the Saudi-backed LIV Golf, as he recently joined LIV's Majesticks Cleeks, who are led by two-time Major winner Martin Kaymer. The Dane holds full exemption to play on the PGA Tour Americas but, in 2025, will be competing in the Saudi league.
Born on January 2, 2000, Frederik Kjettrup played collegiate golf at Florida State University. He had an impressive record as an amateur, winning several tournaments, including the 2017 Titleist & Footjoy West Coast Masters, 2018 DGU Elite Tour I Drenge, Valderrama Open 2018, and 2019 DM Hulspil.

Frederik Kjettrup finished eighth in the PGA Tour University ranking, which awarded him a full exemption for the PGA Tour Americas and a conditional exemption to play on the Korn Ferry Tour. However, the 24-year-old will be joining the Saudi circuit for the next season. He began playing professionally in 2024 and has had a phenomenal season on the PGA Tour Americas this season.
Kjetterup won three tournaments as a professional golfer, with his maiden win coming in June at the Beachlands Victoria Open. He shot four impressive rounds of 63, 64, 64, and 68 to register a one-shot win over Mateo Fernandez de Oliveira.
The same month, the Dane claimed his second professional tournament victory at the ATB Classic, again securing a one-shot win, this time over Tommy Cocha and John Keefer. In September 2024, he clinched another event on the PGA Tour Americas at the CRMC Championship, where he registered a two-stroke win over Bryce Lewis.
In addition to these professional events, Frederik Kjettrup also competed in the 2024 US Open but missed the cut at the Major.

Frederik Kjettrup will join a stellar team consisting of Adrian Meronk, who joined LIV Golf in 2024, along with two-time Senior Major champion English golfer Richard Bland along with team caption Kaymer. Cleeks GC General Manager Jonas Martenson also expressed his excitement about Kjettrup joining the team. He said (via LIV Golf):

Recently, Max Lee joined LIV Golf by winning its Promotions event. Meanwhile, Thomas Pieters rejoined the circuit and moved to Dustin Johnson's 4Aces GC as the new season of the Saudi league nears its start. The 2025 season of LIV Golf will begin in February with the season-opening event in Riyadh.
