American professional golfer Peter Malnati was born on June 13, 1987. He has a total of eight professional wins, including two on the PGA Tour. As of April 2024, his Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) is No. 69th, as he broke his nine-year winless streak after finally winning at the 2024 Valspar Championship.
He defeated Cameron Young by two strokes with four birdies in the final round for a total score of 272, under 12, his second PGA Tour victory and eighth overall.
He turned professional in 2009 and initially played on the mini-tours, finally joining the Web.com Tour in 2013, through which he finished in 18th place in the season-ending money list and earned his 2014 PGA Tour car. However, he lost and regained his card for a while, directly winning his first PGA Tour win at the 2015 Sanderson Farms Championship.
Earlier, from 2011 to 2015, he accumulated six professional wins on the Web.com Tour, the eGolf Professional Tour and others. He had made 261 PGA Tour starts as of April 2024, missing the cut in 134 of them, or 51 per cent of his total.

Peter Malnati’s Driver
Malnati is using a Titleist TSR3 driver with a 10-degree loft angle and a shaft of True Temper Project X Denali Blue 60 TX.
Retained from the TSi3, the five-position SureFit CG track has been reconfigured to allow the weight to sit more flush in the extreme positions. Furthermore, a shorter screw thread facilitates quicker track adjustment.
The new Variable Thickness Face (VFT) pattern, which Titleist is calling the Speed Ring, is the other notable change; this pattern is intended for players that strike the ball with a more centered portion of their face.
Peter Malnati’s Fairways
For fairways, Malnati uses Titleist TSi3 three-wood set at a 19-degree angle and a shaft of Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 70 X. The TSi3 was created specifically for better players and performs admirably on many levels.
According to Golf Monthly, the TSi3 is designed to push players to attack the course and use more force in their strokes rather than assist them in getting out of tight situations.
Peter Malnati’s Hybrid
Malnati uses Titleist 818 H2 hybrid with a 19-degree loft and a Graphite Design Tour AD SI 95 X shaft. It's much easier to detect the differences between the two Titleist 818 hybrids. Despite the performances being extremely similar, the looks are not.
Golfers who have typically favored long irons will find the H2 to be more suitable; thus, Malnati is an H2 user. However, 818 hybrids have a traditional design and are relatively subtle and in light of the technology and performance available, they might not be as noticeable on the shelf as they ought to be.
Peter Malnati’s Irons
Malnati uses three irons as of April 2024, all Titleist, installed with True Temper AMT Tour White S400 shafts, but different models of the same series. For the 4-iron, he uses T200; for the 5-iron, he uses T150; and for the 6–9 irons, he uses T100.
It offers some noticeable improvements, especially in terms of consistency and how the club enters and exits the turf. It has the most pleasant impact feel, with a ball flight that can be adjusted as per preference and gives a certain room for error on the strike, even though the T150 iron has a bit more power.
The spins' round-per-minute also varies greatly, with T100 having the most at 6302 rpm, T150 at 5656 rpm and T200 at 5354 rpm, according to Golf Monthly.
Peter Malnati’s Wedges
Malnati uses four 48-, 52-, 56-, and 60-degree Titleist Vokey Design SM10s with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400. Over the prior model, the Vokey SM10 wedge has seen subtle but major upgrades.
This wedge is easier to predict and handle because of its lower launch, higher spin, and more centrally located CG. Golfers will already be thrilled with the appearance, a variety of grind variations available in the range, longer groove life and greater feel; these are added benefits.
Peter Malnati’s Putter
Malnati has a fairly unusual choice of equipment among his PGA Tour peers in the Titleist Special Select Masterful 1.5 Tourtype SSS Prototype Putter. He is the only top professional who carries it in their bag and uses it as their go-to putter, according to the PGAClubTracker.com database.
Scotty Cameron characterizes the new Special Select line of putters as "classic, industrial, with elegance," and it makes sense given that the name is associated with some of the finest putters in golf.
Peter Malnati’s Golf Ball
Malnati uses Titleist Pro V1x yellow balls, which were released in 2023, two years after the last upgrades. The most recent Pro V1x has already been tested on tour and is aimed at players looking for a little stiffer feel with a slightly higher ball flight and more spin than the Pro V1.
The Pro V1x's primary improvement is a new high gradient "Dual-Core" structure. The core of the ball becomes gradually softer from the outside in. An internal core has been enlarged by 44% in the Pro V1x. According to Titleist's engineers, these qualities serve to improve flight stability and decrease spin in the long game, all of which contribute to increased speed.
