Every year, the PGA Tour's Valspar Championship is held on the Copperhead Course at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida. From 2003 to 2006, the Tampa Bay event was the final full-field event on the schedule before the Tour Championship, which took place in late October (early November in 2003). At the time, the title sponsor was the Chrysler Corporation.
In September 2013, the Valspar Corporation signed a four-year contract for the title sponsorship of the event, changing the name to the Valspar Championship. The contract was subsequently extended for three more years in 2017. The corporation announced in February 2025 that its partnership with the PGA Tour has been extended till 2030 (via the official website of the PGA Tour).
