The Open Championship Tickets

Last Modified Jul 3, 2024 10:29 GMT

One of the most anticipated golf tournaments of the year, the Open Championship or the British Open, is around the corner. Though it originally started in Scotland, at the Prestwick Golf Club in 1860, soon after that, the R&A made a change, and a small selection of British seaside links golf clubs took turns hosting the event.

The Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, and US Open are the other three major golf championships for men. The Open Championship is one of them. Since the PGA Championship was rescheduled for May, the Open became the fourth and last major event. It takes place in mid-July.

The Open is a tournament, as the name suggests, it's open for professional and amateur golfers who compete on the same greens! Unlike other tournaments, where professionals and amateurs compete differently. The current event is a professional competition in which a select group of elite amateurs worldwide participate by invitation or qualifying! This is one of those elite golf tournaments everyone wants to be a part of, either by being on the greens competing or being one of the spectators enjoying the best golfers competing against each other.

How to secure The Open 2024 tickets?

Since it's in such high demand, the tickets for the Open Championship sell off quickly; here are the different kinds of tickets you might buy. The tickets have been split into six all-inclusive experiences, each providing a different way to take the Championship: Champions, Medallists, Engravers, Caddies, Scorers Premium, and Scorers. Together, they satisfy all tastes and price ranges.

  1. The Medallists.

Dates: 18.07.2024-20.07.2024

Priced at £1500, the Medalilist has a lot of perks! Spectators with these tickets can enjoy the 18th hole at the Royal Troon, letting them enjoy the Championship up close.

  1. Scorers Premium

Dates: 21.07.2024

Priced at £650 per person, securing the scorer's premium is a dream for golf lovers! Spectators get to enjoy the tournament and have a private table of their own throughout the day while they enjoy watching their favourite golfers tee off.

  1. Scorers:

Dates: 17.07.2024

Priced at £300, it is almost the same as the scorer's premium; the only difference is that spectators will not be provided with a table.

  1. Champions:

Dates: 19.07.2024

Priced at £2000, the Champions is one of the elite forms of tickets one can secure if they wish to watch the Open. This ticket will provide everything a spectator might want or need, as they are fully all-inclusive, with first-class hospitality, golf, and lifelong memories. For any golf enthusiast, it's practically ideal.

Two more different types of tickets are available, the Engravers and the Origin Suites. Unfortunately, those two are already out of stock and not being sold anymore; hence, not much information is available about them.
