Since 1991, the Travellers Championship has been proudly hosted by TPC River Highlands. The PGA TOUR's Travellers Championship has the second-highest attendance each year.
Sponsored by The Travellers Companies since 2007, the 2024 Travellers Championship is scheduled for June 20–23. Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, Nick Price, Stewart Cink, and Jordan Spieth are among the most well-known and, in certain situations, most distinguished golfers on the tournament's winners list.
Through 2013, six players have won the Travellers Championship multiple times, including Billy Casper with four titles. Given the tournament craze, it's only normal to expect thousands of spectators worldwide showing up to support and cheer their favourite golfer! Hence, knowing the course map and parking is an absolute must.
TPC Highlands Course
Nestled amidst Red Maple and Sycamore trees in Cromwell, Connecticut, the stunning TPC River Highlands is another one of architect Pete Dye's masterworks. Since its founding in 1928, the course has experienced numerous name changes and redesigns; Bobby Weed carried out the most recent one in 1989. The Travellers Championship has been held at TPC River Highlands since 1991, and it consistently draws the second-highest attendance of any PGA TOUR event. Whether watching the real PGA TOUR or competing in PGA TOUR 2K23, big groups flock to the picturesque course to see top-notch accuracy and shot-making. PGA TOUR pros get plenty of "risk vs. reward" shot-making opportunities thanks to the difficult layout, which heightens the drama of the competition. The hole layouts offer some of the greatest "up close and personal" viewing experiences for spectators of any PGA TOUR event.

The 148-acre course winds through stately corridors framed by mature oak, sycamore, maple, and eastern white pine trees, which gently roll the fairways. The rough on the course is bluegrass fescue, with bentgrass from the tee to the green. The golf course is made more beautiful by the many lakes and ponds. The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Programme for Golf Courses (ACSP), which promotes environmentally responsible land management and the preservation of wildlife habitats, has granted the course full certification.
The award-winning golf course at TPC River Highlands features a challenging final stretch that spans holes 15–18. A four-acre lake is the focal point of the 15th, 16th, and 17th holes. "Four of the most exciting finishing holes in a group anywhere in the world," according to 2008 Travellers Championship winner Stewart Cink.
