The Valspar Championship's course details
The 2025 Valspar Championship will take place on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida. The club was first opened in 1970 by Salamander Hotels & Resorts and consists of four courses: the Island, Copperhead, North and South. Each of the latter courses is designed by Larry Packard. The Copperhead course hosts the Valspar Championship annually and has a 75.9 course rating and a slope rating of 142.

2025 Valspar Championship's tournament purse history
The purse for the inaugural Valspar Championship was $2.4 million. Previously known as the Tampa Bay Classic in 2000, the winner received $432,000. Under Chrysler's sponsorship in 2003, the purse was increased to $4.8 million, with the winner receiving $864,000. The purse increased to $5 million in 2004, but it remained at $5.3 million from 2005 to 2008. Since then, with a margin of no more than $100,000 to $300,000, the grow and stay purse pattern has been in effect, as per PGA's official website.
Following the event's cancellation due to COVID-19 in 2020, the purse increased significantly in 2022, hitting $7.8 million from $6.9 million in 2021. In 2023, the event's purse climbed to $8.1 million, followed by $8.4 million the following year. The 2025 season will have a purse of $8.7 million with the winner's share of $1.56 million, as per the PGA Tour.
