"100% confirmed": Some GTA 6 fans are still optimistic about the Moon Theory

Rockstar Games hasn't announced a release date for GTA 6 trailer 2 yet. However, some fans think that the developer might have teased it within a promotional image for the upcoming GTA Online Winter DLC. It is being speculated that the date corresponding to the moon's phase in that image, which fans suggest is November 22, could be when the Grand Theft Auto sequel's second trailer is released or announced.

The "Moon Theory," as it is commonly being referred to, has its critics, but some fans are optimistic about it. Here's one of the responses to @GTAVI_Countdown's recent post on the Moon Theory:

Another fan on X, @Yoblapyo, commented that they were hyped and hoped that Rockstar would bless the fans tomorrow, that is November 22, 2024. Here's what they said:

The optimism related to this fan theory is likely due to the original Moon Theory that was used to speculate the arrival of the first GTA 6 trailer. That being said, it should be noted that it wasn't extremely accurate. The initial predictions speculated an announcement in October, but the trailer was confirmed in November, and a release date was announced on a similar date in December.

This is why there is a section of the fanbase that does not believe in the latest Moon Theory. Nevertheless, there is now only a day left to November 22, and we will soon learn if the theory actually has any substance.

Rockstar Games has been completely silent on Grand Theft Auto 6 ever since releasing its first trailer back in December 2023. That said, we got a confirmed GTA 6 release window this year, that was announced by the developer's parent company, Take-Two Interactive.

The lack of new trailers or screenshots has made the fanbase eager for more. Now that it is almost a year since the first trailer dropped, some think that the next one might not be far away, and could have been teased with the moon in the GTA Online Winter DLC promotional image.

Be that as it may, not everyone is on board with this fan theory. In fact, some even believe that the second trailer might be shown at The Game Awards next month.
