If you like shotguns, then you may find the Railgun quite interesting. It is basically a shotgun that shoots exploding rounds. The rate of fire is a bit slow, but the damage dealt is incredibly high — it can destroy most vehicles in a shot or two.

Unfortunately, it isn't always available. But when it is, you can buy it from the Gun Van. While the Railgun's base price is $730,000, the GTA Online Gun Van usually sells it at a discount.

2) Heavy Sniper MK II

The Heavy Sniper MK II can be obtained by upgrading the standard Heavy Sniper at the MOC or Avenger's weapon workshop. This upgrade costs $165,375, which isn't very expensive from the game's context.

You get the advantage of extended range and high damage with the Heavy Sniper MK II. Additionally, you can equip it with a Thermal or Night Vision Scope, and get Armor Piercing, Incendiary, Full Metal Jacket, or Explosive Rounds among many other useful customizations.

3) El Strickler Military Rifle

The El Strickler Military Rifle debuted with GTA Online Agents of Sabotage. This is an assault rifle that offers a quick firing rate, high damage, compact bullet spread, and a really good target-lock-on range. This certainly makes it one of, if not the best in its class.

The weapon further stands out thanks to its unique skin, blue flashlight, and blue tracer rounds. As of this writing, Only GTA+ subscribers can get the El Strickler Military Rifle from the Gun Van (that too for free). However, it will be made available for general purchase exclusively on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game sometime later.

4) Navy Revolver

The Navy Revolver is a vintage gun, obtainable only by completing the Los Santos Slasher quest. You must locate five clues in this mission, and then hunt down the Slasher himself at the Sandy Shores airfield.

The weapon has a rather slow firing rate, but its damage is high. The gun is usually able to kill targets up close with a shot or two, and is decently effective at longer ranges as well. Note that there are cash rewards for finding all five Slasher clues, killing the Slasher, and for the first 50 kills with the Navy Revolver. So, its benefits go beyond performance.

5) Up-N-Atomizer

The Up-N-Atomizer is a sci-fi gun that shoots an energy pulse. They do not deal damage like bullets, but blow away GTA Online NPCs, players, or vehicles on impact. This trait can not only be used to have fun and mess around but is also incredibly useful for retrieving stuck vehicles. As such, players should have this gun in their arsenal.

The Up-N-Atomizer costs $399,000 and can be bought from the Gun Van, but only when available.
