Whether someone wants a new ride or a powerful weapon, there’s something for everyone here. Additionally, Rockstar is even giving discounts on select items, making them more enticing than ever before. However, it’s easy to get lost seeing so many things at once, making it a bit difficult to decide what to get.

The latest GTA Online weekly update allows players to grab many amazing things in the popular multiplayer title. Here are five of them that one shouldn’t miss checking out this New Year’s Day:

1) Albany Alpha

Fans have been waiting for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 for quite some time. While the game is still far away from being released, fans can at least try some things that they will encounter in the upcoming title. One such thing is Albany Alpha, a two-seater grand tourer that might return in GTA 6.

The sports-class car is seemingly inspired by the real-life 2013 Cadillac Elmiraj concept. Powered by a single-cam V8 engine, it can reach a top speed of 117.75 mph (189.50 km/h) and complete one lap in about 1:05.732.

Players can currently buy Alpha from Premium Deluxe Motorsport for $150,000.

2) Battle Rifle

Weapons play an important role in surviving the chaotic landscape of Los Santos. Players should always carry a weapon that they can always rely on, like the Vom Feuer Battle Rifle. It is an assault rifle that made its debut last year with The Chop Shop DLC update.

In terms of performance, the Battle Rifle competes with the likes of Carbine Rifle and Service Carbine. Having the second highest damage per shot and high fire rate, it is one of the most powerful weapons that one can buy in the GTA Online New Year’s Day update.

The Battle Rifle is currently available for a 30% discounted price of $348,250 from Gun Van.

3) Vapid Clique

Collecting rare cars is what most gamers like to do, and the GTA Online New Year’s Day update gives one such vehicle to collect – the Vapid Clique. Wrapped in the charming Merry Cliquemas livery, the festive theme of the car attracts the eyes of everyone around it.

Based primarily on the real-life custom Ford Club Coupe, the Clique can complete a lap in about 1:06.868 and reach a maximum speed of 117.50 mph (189.10 km/h). While the performance may be a bit slower than expected, the ribbon on the roof is enough of a reason to collect it before it leaves the game.

4) Western Company Rogue

Many in Los Santos love to fly through the skies, and aircraft is one such way that enables them to do so. While there are many aircraft in the game, there’s one available for a 40% discount in GTA Online New Year’s Day update – the Western Company Rogue. It is a trainer attack plane based on the real-life Beechcraft T-6 Texan II.

According to Broughy1322, the Rogue can go up to a top speed of 219.50 mph (353.25 km/h), making it one of the fastest means of commuting in the game.

Gamers can buy the plane from Warstock Cache & Carry for the discounted price of $957,600-$720,000.

5) Banshee GTS

Lastly, there’s the Bravado Banshee GTS, a brand-new sports car added with the Agents of Sabotage update. Based primarily on the fifth-generation SRT/Dodge Viper (VX I), the vehicle carries on the legacy of the name Banshee with superior performance.

As tested by Broughy1322, it possesses a base top speed of 138.00 mph (222.09 km/h), making it one of the fastest sports cars in GTA Online New Year’s Day update that one shouldn’t miss.

Players can buy it from Legendary Motorsport Showroom for $1,989,500.

While buying things is always up to one’s personal preference, all of the aforementioned things are some of the best ones that one should definitely try getting before the next weekly update released on January 2, 2025.
