5 fastest GTA Online planes that should return in GTA 6

Planes are an integral part of GTA Online and Rockstar Games offers quite a few varieties to choose from. As of January 2025, the multiplayer game has 42 planes that you can purchase and fly. GTA 6 is also expected to have a new fleet of planes after release. In fact, the first trailer featured some returning aircraft, and fans are excited to try them out in the new open world.

With that being said, this article lists five of the fastest planes in GTA Online that Rockstar Games should bring to GTA 6.

1) Mammoth F-160 Raiju

The Mammoth F-160 Raiju is not only the fastest plane in GTA Online but also the fastest vehicle in the entire game. With a top speed of 232.50 mph or 374.17 km/h, it can cross the entire State of San Andreas in just under a minute. The fighter jet also comes with various tactical features such as stealth mode, Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL), armor, and weapons.

The modern design of this plane will perfectly match GTA 6's gameplay. Therefore, Rockstar Games should consider it bringing to the upcoming title, along with all of its currently available features. However, the in-game price should be reduced.

2) Buckingham Pyro

The Buckingham Pyro is a compact two-seater plane that is great for dogfights. It is an armored and weaponized vehicle with swift maneuverability. When fully upgraded, the fighter jet can fly at a top speed of 222.75 mph or 358.48 km/h.

The unique design of the Pyro also makes it look cool while flying. Therefore, this plane deserves to be a part of the GTA 6 aircraft fleet. However, Rockstar Games should increase its defensive capabilities in the upcoming game, as in its present state, the Buckingham Pyro can only withstand three homing missiles, which is very low for a fighter jet.

3) Mammoth Hydra

The Mammoth Hydra is an OG plane in the Grand Theft Auto series and a familiar vehicle for many. It was first introduced in GTA San Andreas as a military jet. In GTA Online, the plane can fly at a top speed of 209.25 mph or 336.75 km/h.

Since the Mammoth Hydra has a rich legacy, it should be a part of GTA 6 Online as well. Fans will also be impressed if Rockstar decides to add it to the upcoming game’s story mode. The Hydra is a feature-rich aircraft with armor, weapons, and VTOL, among other things.

4) JoBuilt P-996 LAZER

The JoBuilt P-996 LAZER is also one of the best fighter planes in GTA Online. While it is slightly slower than the Mammoth Hydra, the features are almost the same. When fully upgraded, the P-996 LAZER can cruise at high altitudes at a top speed of 195.00 mph or 313.82 km/h.

The GTA 6 map is expected to be bigger than the current open world. Therefore, Rockstar should add the JoBuilt P-996 LAZER to the upcoming title so that players will have more options when taking to the air.

The Western Company Seabreeze is a unique plane in GTA Online that can fly, move on the ground, and also float on water. While most other planes get destroyed upon coming into contact with water, the Seabreeze can land, float, and take off from any water body.

Since the upcoming title's open world is expected to have many water bodies and wetlands, Rockstar Games should add the Seabreeze after the release of GTA 6. However, its top speed should be increased from the current one of 191.75 mph or 308.59 km/h.
