5 fastest helicopters in GTA Online after Bottom Dollar Bounties

Despite being a car-centric game, Rockstar Games also offers a handful of helicopters in GTA Online. As of July 2024, the multiplayer game has 24 helicopters, out of which 21 can be purchased. While aircraft are usually faster than land vehicles, opting for the fastest helicopters in the game is a wise choice. But, there is no method to know the top speed of a helicopter without owning it first.

To help, this article lists the five fastest helicopters in GTA Online that every player can own after the Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC update.

Five fastest helicopters in GTA Online after the Summer 2024 DLC update

1) Sparrow

With a top speed of 168.75 mph or 271.58 km/h, the Sparrow is the fastest and one of the most solo-friendly helicopters in GTA Online after the Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC. It is also one of the lightest helicopters which gives it great agility.

It is a weaponized helicopter that can shoot very aggressive homing rockets and fire a minigun. Rockstar Games improved the Sparrow helicopter with the GTA Online: Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC. Although it is still prone to explosive damage, the helicopter can now better withstand other smaller damages.

2) Buckingham Volatus

The Buckingham Volatus is one of the most stylish and top-ranked helicopters in GTA Online that can cruise at a top speed of 161.25 mph or 259.51 km/h. Although you can buy it, the game saves it as a Pegasus Vehicle by default. In that case, you’ll have to call the Pegasus contact or use the CEO services to fly it.

To convert the Buckingham Volatus to one of the personal helicopters in GTA Online, you first have to own a Hangar property and store the aircraft there.

3) Buckingham Conada

The Buckingham Conada is one of the touring helicopters in GTA Online that does not have any weapons, armor, or other extravagant features. If you love flying across the map in peace, then you should acquire the Conada as it can fly at a top speed of 158.75 mph or 255.48 km/h.

The Conada is faster than the Buckingham Maverick in GTA Online, which is cheaper and more popular with the player base. However, Rockstar Games offers customizations such as armor, engine, handling, liveries, and body paint for the Conada. Therefore, it is better to own the more expensive one.

4) Buckingham Swift Deluxe

With a solid price tag of $5,150,000, the Buckingham Swift Deluxe is the most expensive helicopter in Grand Theft Auto Online. It is a luxury model of the Buckingham Swift and can cruise at a top speed of 157.75 mph or 253.87 km/h.

Despite being costly, the Swift Deluxe cannot withstand a single rocket as it is not an armored vehicle in Grand Theft Auto Online. However, if you prefer luxury and want to flex your wealth in front of friends, then this is one of the best helicopters in GTA Online.

The Akula is one of the most feature-packed helicopters in GTA Online that can also fly at a top speed of 157.25 mph or 253.07 km/h. It is a military-grade aircraft that has weapons, armor, and stealth mode. The helicopter can be equipped with machine guns, missile launchers, and bomb dispensers.

The Akula is a great choice for those players who prefer playing in crowded lobbies. It is undoubtedly one of the best vehicles to use in Los Santos.
