5 GTA Online business not worth running in 2024

Running a GTA Online business is vital for making money in the game, but not all of them are worthwhile. For instance, some of the newer properties added with the last few updates, like The Contract, The Chop Shop, and the recently released Bottom Dollar Bounties, are all quite profitable. They also provide entertaining missions that make the game feel fresh.

On the other hand, some of the older properties haven't aged well and they are not efficient moneymakers. Managing them is also quite boring, requiring you to grind a lot to make any real profit from them. With that in mind, we've created a list of some businesses that aren't worth getting as of July 2024.

Every GTA Online business that you should avoid buying

1) Arena Workshop

The Arena Workshop is probably the most overlooked GTA Online business in 2024, and for good reason. There's not much benefit in running this property, as it's considered the least profitable one. This is because the Arena War missions don't require purchasing an Arena Workshop. As a result, you can just skip this.

However, the Arena Workshop also doubles as a nice 30-car garage where you can also customize your Arena War vehicles in GTA Online. So, while it's not useful from a business point of view, it's worth having if you are a car collector.

2) Document Forgery Office

Next, we're heading toward the different MC Businesses in GTA Online, most of which are not that profitable. So we're starting with the Document Forgery Office, which ranks lowest when it comes to making money from a GTA Online Business. You can earn around $20,000 per hour with this, that too after fully upgrading it. As such, there are definitely better options out there.

The only benefit is that the income is mostly passive, as you only need to keep resupplying for the property to make money. Meanwhile, the wall safes at the Arcade, the Nightclub, the Agency, the Salvage Yard, and the Bail Office in GTA Online are much better passive income options and don't even require any input from the player.

3) Counterfeit Cash Factory

From here on, the properties function similarly to the Document Forgery Office mentioned before. The Counterfeit Cash Factory isn't the best GTA Online business, as it only gets you around $38,000 per hour with all upgrades and if you choose to resupply.

The only reason you can get one of these is that a Counterfeit Cash Factory comes free with the Criminal Enterprises Starter Pack. So, if you're a beginner, you might as well make use of it until you can move on to something better.

4) Weed Farm

The Weed Farm is another GTA Online Business that falls under the Motorcycle Club, and it works just like the last two properties. However, this property makes a bit less money than the Counterfeit Cash Factory, at around $34,000 per hour.

On the other hand, there aren't any free Weed Farms available, so it's best to just skip this one. The Weed Farm, along with the Document Forgery Office, should be your last choice when it comes to MC Businesses.

5) Methamphetamine Lab

As a GTA Online business that you get from running a Motorcycle Club, the Meth Lab is one of the more decent options. This is because you can get up to $41,000 from a fully upgraded Meth Lab, which is higher than all the other three Biker businesses mentioned here.

Although it is the second-most profitable MC business after the Cocaine Lockup, the fact that you still need a considerable investment and there's no free property available makes it less desirable.

However, as mentioned before, some of the new properties added with the more recent DLCs, like the Bail Office from GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties, are much better to focus on than these MC businesses.
