The GTA Vice City Definitive Edition can be played on multiple platforms including the PC. While the game was originally launched in November 2021, Rockstar Games and Netflix joined hands to release a mobile version of the game on the popular streaming service, which gave the game a new margin. Surprisingly, the Vice City Netflix Version has become more popular compared to the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation versions.
The gaming studio introduced some new changes to the mobile version which caught players’ attention. This article lists five improvements that Rockstar should introduce in the GTA Vice City Definitive Edition PC edition after the Netflix version release.

Five things Rockstar Games should change on the GTA Vice City Definitive Edition PC edition
1) Introduce Classic Lighting Mode
The Classic Lighting Mode is one of the key USPs of the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Netflix Edition. It introduced a new ambient lightning mode to the game that makes it almost similar to the original version.
Rockstar Games should introduce the Classic Lighting Mode to the GTA Vice City Definitive Edition PC edition as well. In the current state, all three titles of the Trilogy look and feel the same. The Classic Lighting Mode has the potential to improve the gameplay experience.
2) Improve object rendering
Despite being a Definitive Edition, GTA Vice City’s PC edition uses weak rendering technology where objects pop up and disappear from the screen randomly. This makes the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy DE seem like a wasted potential.
It is worth noting that this feature was a part of the original game which was developed for low-end hardware. Since PCs have significantly improved since then, the GTA Vice City Definitive Edition PC edition should change its object rendering technology and make the open world feel more natural like the modern GTA titles.
3) Optimize the game for low-end hardware
GTA Vice City Definitive Edition PC edition needs high-end hardware specifications to run. Despite having no new additions to the game, the graphical enhancements alone cause the game to lag on mid to low-end PCs. However, this issue is not there on the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy PS5 version or other consoles.
Rockstar Games should focus on better optimization of the game so that all players can enjoy it without major compromises. Ironically, the Definitive Edition of the game lacks some content from the original version. Therefore, it should not require high-end specifications to run on PCs.
4) Fix the remaining bugs
Bugs and Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Definitive Edition is an ongoing saga that continues to hamper the gameplay experience. Although Rockstar Games ironed out most of the issues post-release, many game-breaking issues persist in the GTA Vice City Definitive Edition PC edition. Missing textures, collision issues, etc. are some of the most common problems.
Even the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Switch version is not free from the bugs. Considering Rockstar Games solved many of these issues in the Netflix version, it is time they address the GTA Vice City Definitive Edition PC edition as well.
5) Sound and volume issues
The GTA Vice City Definitive Edition PC edition also suffers from sound and volume issues. Players often complain that the game has an uneven volume management where sometimes the sound feels low, other times it comes in full blast.
The 2002 title is known to have one of the best audio treatments that cement Vice City as one of the best video games. Therefore, Rockstar Games should improve the sound quality of the Definitive Edition PC version as soon as possible.
