The wait for Grand Theft Auto fans for GTA 6 trailer 2 continues even a year after the first one's release. Although Rockstar Games never made any announcements regarding when to expect it, fans made various speculations as to when it could drop this year. They even came up with a number of theories predicting its possible release date, but none of them have turned out to be correct so far.

So, as we wait for the next official look at the upcoming Grand Theft Auto installment, let's review five interesting fan theories about GTA 6 trailer 2.

Note - This article is subjective and only reflects the writer's opinions. As the title suggests, most of the information here is speculative.

Bullet holes, Pizza Boy number plate, and three more interesting GTA 6 trailer 2 fan theories

1) The Moon Theory

The Moon Theory is one of the best-known GTA 6 fan theories. It predicted a release date for the second trailer based on the phase of the moon in a GTA Online Agents of Sabotage DLC image, believing it to be a hint from Rockstar Games.

A Moon Theory was also discussed among fans before the first trailer was released, and while that one was somewhat correct, this one, unfortunately, was not. The date predicted by this theory was November 22, 2024, and as we know now, GTA 6 trailer 2 has not been released, as of this writing.

2) Bullet holes in the protagonists' car

Rockstar Games released the first official GTA 6 artwork along with the first trailer last year. Fans carefully scanned it in search of any hidden details, and some even believed that Rockstar might have hidden the second trailer's release date in it.

This fan theory analyzed the orientation of the bullet holes on Lucia and her partner's car in the artwork and compared it to braille, suggesting a September 2024 GTA 6 trailer 2 release date. This theory, again, was incorrect, but interesting nonetheless.

3) Showcase at PlayStation event

Fans believed that Sony might have teased an event for December 3, 2024, in a recent PlayStation commercial. Grand Theft Auto fans then combined this with rumors from earlier this year about PlayStation reportedly securing marketing rights for GTA 6.

This began speculations of the second trailer possibly being showcased at this rumored event. However, no Sony PlayStation event took place on December 3, bringing this fan theory to an end.

4) Pizza Boy number plate

GTA Online Pizza Delivery missions debuted earlier this year, and fans took one of Rockstar's promotional posts regarding it as a possible hint about GTA 6 trailer 2's release date. This post was a short 15-second clip uploaded on X, featuring a few shots of the Pizza Boy's delivery scooter.

Fans analyzed the number plate of said scooter, focusing on the texts OCT and PIZZ4, and theorized that the upcoming title's second trailer could arrive on October 4, 2024, which again, did not happen.

5) Multiple tweets in a single day

This one is a very recent GTA 6 trailer 2 fan theory, and interestingly, is yet to be proven right or wrong, as of this writing. Rockstar Games released the trailer for GTA Online Agents of Sabotage DLC on December 3, 2024, and then proceeded to post two more tweets on the same day.

One of them was for Red Dead Online, and the other was for the Rockstar Store Holiday Sale. This made fans question if the developer was getting done with these things in preparation for a big announcement in the coming days, possibly about GTA 6 trailer 2.
