Rockstar Games hasn't kicked off its GTA 6 marketing campaign yet despite the title's release set for next year. However, based on the studio's past practices, fans expect it to be done very creatively. The game’s popularity is already off the charts, but the developer should still go all out in promoting it since it is arguably the biggest video game set to be launched in a really long time.

While posters on buildings and billboards are some common marketing methods that Rockstar Games has utilized in the past, there are a few other ways it could promote the next Grand Theft Auto.

This article lists five interesting ways Rockstar Games could do GTA 6 marketing.

Real-life Vice sign and other interesting ways Rockstar should do GTA 6 marketing

1) Hosting an expo

Grand Theft Auto fans have had to wait for a new entry in the series for an incredibly long time. Even now, the GTA 6 release window is still several months away.

Hosting an expo would be a great way give fans a treat and market the title. Rockstar Games could sell game-related merchandise at the expo and possibly even let visitors play an exclusive demo.

It goes without saying that players would flock to such a GTA 6 marketing event in large numbers. This would attract attention both in real life and on social media.

2) Wanted posters in Miami

Displaying wanted posters of Lucia and her partner, allegedly named Jason, across Miami (inspiration behind Vice City) could be another interesting approach for the GTA 6 marketing campaign.

Rockstar Games has done this in the past for GTA 4, displaying wanted posters of its protagonist, Niko Bellic, and some other characters across New York, which was the inspiration behind that title's setting - Liberty City.

3) Real-life Vice sign

A huge Vice sign was shown in the first GTA 6 trailer. Some fans believe it might be a nod to the Miami sign seen in the Bad Boys movie.

It would be pretty cool if Rockstar Games could put up an actual Vice sign in Miami for the GTA 6 marketing campaign. Placing it near the city's airport or in any other busy area would be great for promotion, as that would attract a lot of attention, even from those who have no idea about Grand Theft Auto.

4) Playing the trailer in theaters

Much of the gaming community is aware about GTA 6's existence. However, a great way to promote the title among casual or even non-gamers would be playing its trailers in theaters right before movies.

Trailers of other movies already get played in theaters in this manner. A company like Rockstar Games shouldn't face any problems booking a slot for marketing what is one of its biggest releases ever.

5) Branded snacks and drinks

Grand Theft Auto titles present highly detailed and deeply immersive worlds that have their own fictional brands of products. Bringing these fictional brands to life in partnership with real-life ones would be an interesting approach to the GTA 6 marketing campaign.

Logos of Grand Theft Auto brands like Pisswasser, eCola, Sprunk, P's & Q's, and others printed on the packaging of real snacks and drinks would promote the upcoming video game in a unique way.
