Although the Grand Theft Auto series has evolved considerably over the years, it has some major flaws that can only be fixed by improving GTA 6 gameplay. In newer games like GTA 5, features like stealth mode barely have any function, in-game driving and gunplay feel lackluster, and the AI feels overpowered at times, among other such issues.

These flaws can all be fixed through some major GTA 6 gameplay improvements, and if the leaks are to be believed, Rockstar is already working on some of them. On that note, here are some of the biggest flaws that the developers should look to improve in the upcoming game.

5 flaws that need fixing through some GTA 6 gameplay improvements

1) Stealth mode

Rockstar needs to decide if they want to keep stealth mode as a useful feature, replace it with crouch and prone options, or revamp the stealth mechanics completely. Stealth has been an overlooked feature in the series with limited uses since making its debut in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. In fact, the feature was completely removed in Grand Theft Auto 4.

While Grand Theft Auto 5 has a "stealth mode" that makes players quiet and even has stealth segments in different missions, it's not that great. The same applies to GTA Online, where maintaining stealth is often quite frustrating and less effective than a straight up assault. As such, Rockstar should feature better stealth through the GTA 6 gameplay, so that it has more uses.

2) Ridiculously accurate AI

The enemy AI in Grand Theft Auto 5 and especially its online counterpart can be frustrating at times. While difficulty can make for a fun and challenging experience at times, some players just want to get the missions done. Enemy NPCs in the game can be ridiculously accurate at times and often manage to do substantial damage before you can even identify them.

However, this could be an issue with the weapons themselves, as the pistols and submachine guns feel a bit too accurate to be realistic. The AI needs to be toned down as part of the GTA 6 gameplay fixes so that it doesn't feel like they're using aimbots.

3) Driving

Despite the Grand Theft Auto series being focused around vehicles, and Rockstar having made a successful racing game series like Midnight Club, driving isn't a strong point of Grand Theft Auto. It's too arcade-like in the 3D Universe games, and a bit too realistic in Grand Theft Auto 4. Although Grand Theft Auto 5 went for a more balanced route, it ended up satisfying nobody.

With the next game, Rockstar should look for slightly realistic driving, much like how simcade games do it. Alternatively, they could offer more customization options, with driving difficulty being one of the new GTA 6 gameplay options.

4) Better gunplay

While there are a large number of guns in GTA 5 and its online counterpart, the gunplay doesn't seem as satisfying as it was in its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto 4. It's almost as if the weapons lack firepower, but this isn't the case as they appear to do more damage than in GTA 4. The issue seems to be the ragdoll physics and the enemy's reaction to being shot, as well as gunplay sounds.

The inferior (or simplified) ragdoll in Grand Theft Auto 5 often makes combat seem boring while the gun sounds are almost muffled in comparison to previous games. One of the major changes in GTA 6 gameplay has to be improved gunplay, so that the guns feel destructive as they used to.

5) Grabbing NPCs or carrying bodies

A major feature that makes Read Dead Redemption games feel much more realistic compared to the Grand Theft Auto series is the ability to grab hold of NPCs. The lasso is a fun piece of equipment to use in the game that lets you tie up anybody and drag them around. Rockstar could improve the upcoming GTA title further by implementing this as a GTA 6 gameplay feature.

They could also enhance it by adding the ability to make human shields, like in the GTA competitor Saints Row series or Hitman Blood Money.
