2024 was quite an eventful year for GTA Online, with the addition of the Cluckin Bell Farm Raid (a heist-like quest), as well as the Bottom Dollar Bounties and Agents of Sabotage DLCs. Among all the fresh content added throughout the year, there were also some notable improvements that enhanced the overall gameplay experience to a certain degree.
While we wait to see what is in store for the multiplayer title in 2025, let's take a look back at five major improvements made in Grand Theft Auto Online in 2024.

New Missile Lock-On Jammer compatible vehicles and four other major improvements made in GTA Online in 2024
1) Automatic snacks and armor refilling
Snacks and armor are extremely important items in the game. The former restores health and the latter provides an added layer of protection. These items need to be purchased, snacks from department stores across the map (some businesses also offer them for free), and the armor from Ammu-Nation or the GTA Online Gun Van.
However, after the Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC earlier this year, snacks were automatically replenished when starting certain missions. Additionally, a unit of body armor gets automatically refilled as well before specific missions after the recently released Agents of Sabotage DLC.
2) Some removed cars have returned
In the summer of 2023, nearly 200 cars were removed from the game's website. While some were made available for a limited time with weekly updates, a number of these vehicles have now returned permanently with the GTA Online Agents of Sabotage DLC.
Additionally, these returning cars have been made compatible with the Missile Lock-On Jammer, an Imani Tech upgrade that can be installed at your Agency's vehicle workshop.
3) New Missile Lock-On Jammer compatible vehicles
In addition to the returning cars, Rockstar Games made even more vehicles compatible with the Missile Lock-On Jammer in the Agents of Sabotage DLC. These include rides like the popular Karin Futo GTX, Western Zombie Chopper, Vysser Neo, Obey 9F Cabrio, and more.
The Missile Lock-On Jammer prevents Homing Missiles from locking onto your vehicle, which — needless to say — is a great security measure. Only a select few vehicles were compatible with this upgrade originally, but seeing that category expand is a major improvement.
4) Gunrunning and Biker sell mission timer increased for solo players
Gunnrunning (Bunker) and Biker (MC Businesses) are two really good businesses in GTA Online. Selling a lot of stock from either of them at once can spawn multiple sale vehicles — and since sell missions are timed — they become challenging for solo players.
Thankfully, Rockstar increased the sell mission timer of Bunker and Biker businesses by 50% only for solo players in June 2024 with the Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC.
5) Fast travel points
Despite the availability of many fast vehicles in GTA Online, traveling can sometimes just feel tiresome. The overall gameplay experience was improved in this direction with the addition of five fast travel points across Los Santos with the Agents of Sabotage DLC.
These fast travel points become accessible after buying the Darnell Bros Garment Factory. The fast travel door is present in the factory's basement, and you can also travel back to the factory from these specific locations.
Yes, it is not the same as fast traveling in other open-world games, but even the limited nature of this mechanic is a handy option to have in GTA Online.
