The upcoming GTA 6 map is undoubtedly going to be one of the best open worlds created by Rockstar Games to date. GTA fans have been anticipating various things for ages and the speculations are far from over. While the currently available open worlds are also phenomenal in their unique ways, players want the upcoming world to be full of more surprises.
This article lists five new open-world features that Rockstar Games should consider adding to the GTA 6 map.

5 new open-world features the GTA 6 map should have
1) Fast travel
The fast travel feature in the current Grand Theft Auto game is very lackluster. The only way you can fast-travel in GTA 5 is through taxis. One might argue that switching between the playable characters is also fast travel. While it is technically true, that is not the traditional method of fast traveling. Moreover, you lose the control over the current character.
The GTA 6 map should have proper fast travel options. The public transport options should allow players to both fast-travel or enjoy the entire ride. Since the upcoming game is expected to be bigger than ever, the fast travel option is going to be one of the most needed options.
2) Snowing
Snowing in Grand Theft Auto games is arguably one of the most requested features. While it does snow in Grand Theft Auto Online, it is a limited-time feature only. Many data miners previously discovered that snow was supposed to be a part of Grand Theft Auto 4, but was removed before release.
Nonetheless, the GTA 6 map should include snow as a part of the regular gameplay. The first trailer showed many unique weather patterns. The GTA 6 trailer 2 should showcase snowing to intrigue the fans. The NPCs should also adapt to snowy seasons to make the game more immersive.
3) Purchasable and customizable safe houses
Safehouses are an integral part of the Grand Theft Auto gameplay. However, the HD Universe titles do not allow you to buy safehouses on your own. The GTA 6 map should include plenty of safehouses that can be purchased manually as well as customized.
Rockstar Games already offers this feature in Grand Theft Auto Online. Therefore, it should be continued in the future after the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. Custom safehouses will give players a sense of ownership. At the same time, the developer should also make the building interiors highly accessible.
4) Less despawning
Despawning is a common trick used by Rockstar to fix the continuity of the open world. For example, if you break something on the road, move enough distance from the object, and come back again, the game fixes it automatically or despawns the object. The GTA 6 map should have less of it or take longer to remove.
Seeing something you did in the open world for longer durations gives a sense of immersiveness. Moreover, less despawning will help you retain cool NPC vehicles for a long time.

5) Accidents and fights
In a crowded area, it is expected to see accidents and quarrels very frequently. While you can see NPC drivers bumping into others in the current games, the GTA 6 map should have major accidents between NPCs without involving the protagonists.
Similarly, while you can break out a fight with most of the NPCs, seeing two NPCs or groups fighting by themselves is little to none existent. The GTA 6 map is expected to have several gang areas. They should occasionally fight to make the open world immersive.
