The Liberty City mod for GTA 5 (officially known as Liberty City Preservation Project) is the new talk of the town as it brings a new breeze to the 2013 title. As the name implies, this mod unofficially brings GTA 4 to Grand Theft Auto 5. PC players have been exploring the features provided by the developer (World Travel), and many exciting discoveries have been made so far.

This article lists five notable things you can do in GTA 5 with the Liberty City mod.

5 things GTA 5 PC players can do with the Liberty City mod

1) Visit the entity of Liberty City

One of the biggest features of the GTA 5 Liberty City mod is that it brings the entire open world of Liberty City into the 2013 title. It features all major islands and neighborhoods including Algonquin, Broker, Dukes, Bohan, and Happiness Island).

If you have never played GTA 4 before, then you can explore the entire map in Grand Theft Auto 5 using this mod. The entire area is open to visit without any travel restrictions that were partially implemented in the 2008 title.

2) Enjoy radio stations from GTA 4

The radio stations of GTA 4 are very popular among veteran fans, and Rockstar Games is known for including top-tier songs in its titles, with the 2008 game being no exception. While GTA 5 has its own radio stations and songs, the Liberty City mod adds the GTA 4 radio stations as well.

You can jam to The Beat 102.7 or Liberty Rock Radio while cruising through the streets of Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto 5. All stations are included in the radio wheel that you can access by pressing the ‘Q’ button.

3) Explore the GTA 4 Easter eggs

The Liberty City Preservation Project also includes the Easter eggs that are available in the vanilla version of GTA 4. You can visit inside the Statue of Happiness and watch the Heart of Liberty City beating — a hilarious Easter egg in itself. Additionally, you can try out the infamous Swing Glitch in GTA 5.

Minor details like this have also contributed to the increasing popularity of the Grand Theft Auto 5 mod. If you look thoroughly, you can also spot a Fruntalot brand poster featuring a model very similar to Carl “CJ” Johnson.

4) Travel between cities

While you can travel between Ludendorff and Los Santos in GTA 5, that is a mission-specific and one-time-only thing. However, the Liberty City mod allows you to travel between the State of San Andreas and Liberty City as many times as you want.

You can take a direct flight between both maps or manually fly an aircraft. You can also explore the modded cities using various modes of public transport. Plus, there is always the option to steal cars and roam around the map. The Liberty City mod certainly fulfills a long-standing wish of Grand Theft Auto 5 players.

5) Fight with the Liberty City Police Department

One of the most notable things in the GTA 5 Liberty City mod is that it uses the Liberty City Police Department within the modded area. While roaming as Franklin, Michael, or Trevor, you can notice LCPD officers patrolling everywhere.

You can try committing a crime to trigger a fight with them. The developer also added new cars to the police fleet that make fighting the cops more exciting. The LCPD officers are different from LSPD, so you should try brawling with them.
