There are many cars in GTA Online that are overhyped. Fans tend to look at one good aspect of a vehicle and make it seem more important than it really is, or they tend to be completely wrong about the vehicle. Cars like the Tezeract and the Pariah are extremely popular, but this doesn't mean that they're the best.
With that in mind, we've presented a list of the most overrated cars in GTA Online that aren't as good as players make them out to be.

Most overhyped GTA Online cars
1) Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire
As a muscle car based on the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, the Gauntlet Hellfire is indeed a thing of beauty. There's no doubt that most muscle car fans in GTA Online already own this vehicle, especially thanks to its extremely affordable price tag of just $745,000. However, despite all this, what makes the car so disappointing is its performance.
While it has a somewhat decent top speed of 125.25 mph (as measured by YouTuber Broughy1322), the handling of the Gauntlet Hellfire is terrible. It can barely tackle any corner smoothly, so it's easily beaten in races in the Muscle category, where there are far better options. The police version of this car is a much better alternative.
2) Karin Calico GTF
When the Los Santos Tuners DLC came out, many players started preferring the Calico GTF for doing the Auto Shop Robberies in GTA Online. As one of the fastest Tuners in the game, the Toyota Celica GT-Four (ST205)-inspired vehicle soon became a fan favorite. However, there are several things wrong with the car. For starters, it's quite expensive, with a whopping price tag of $1,995,000.
This price isn't completely justified by its performance, as the top speed (measured by Broughy1322) of 121.25 mph doesn't even make it the fastest Tuner. The Calico GTF also suffers from terrible understeer, which makes it terrible for racing. On the bright side, it has some decent customizability, with some of the liveries making it resemble real-life rally cars.
3) Pegassi Tezeract
The Tezeract is one of the most overhyped cars in GTA Online and it also has one of the most obnoxious designs. However, the edgy futuristic look isn't the only problem with this vehicle. Looks are subjective, so you might find it attractive, but it's impossible to deny that the performance of the Tezeract is terrible.
For a car that costs $2,825,000, it should be able to turn smoothly. However, whenever you attempt to make a turn at moderate to high speeds, it just flips out. The extremely low ground clearance is the likely culprit, but this renders its high acceleration useless.
4) Ocelot Pariah
The Pariah is still considered the fastest GTA Online car without any boost on last-gen consoles and PC. Its top speed of 136 mph (again, measured by Broughy1322) is nothing to scoff at, but it's also why this vehicle is a bit overhyped. The handling is decent on the Pariah, and the price tag of $1,420,000 isn't too bad either. However, speed isn't everything, and this is a fact that many players forget.
The Pariah can be easily beaten by cars that have superior handling but with lower speeds, like the Turismo Omaggio, the Krieger, the Vagner, and so on.
5) Dinka Jester Classic
The Jester Classic is a fan-favorite vehicle based on the iconic Toyota Supra (A80), and it even has two different Fast and Furious liveries. However, just like its real-life counterpart, this car is highly overrated in GTA Online. The reason why you should reconsider this vehicle is again, due to its performance.
The Jester Classic fails to impress with its meager 119.75 mph top speed. Now, what makes this worse is that it has an engine-limiting flag in the game files that makes it much slower than it should be. It's almost as if the car hits the rev limiter much earlier, making the acceleration ridiculously slow.
