5 real-life Florida cities that should be in GTA 6's Leonida

GTA 6's Leonida is a fictional region based on Florida. As such, it's naturally going to feature many towns and possibly even cities from the real-life American state. This article is merely a wishlist of the real-life cities that many fans would love to see in Rockstar's depiction of the Sunshine State. We've simply discussed why the locations listed below would be great additions. We kept out obvious mentions like Miami, on which Vice City is based.

It's worth noting that it's unlikely Rockstar will include something new and major in the title's open world at this stage of the development process. With all that in mind, here's a list of Florida cities that GTA 6's Leonida should feature.

Florida cities in real-life that should be there in GTA 6's Leonida

1) Jacksonville

This is the largest city in Florida in terms of area as well as population. It's an important port city located in the northeastern part of the state, and the Port of Jacksonville is the largest seaport in Florida by volume. Naturally, Jacksonville also has a massive beach.

Such a large city deserves to be featured in GTA 6's Leonida, perhaps even as a small port town to the north of Vice City. Maybe Rockstar could do is incorporate the Port area into Vice City itself.

2) Tampa

Tampa is a city in Florida situated on the western side, where it sits in a massive bay area. The Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks mentioned a city named Port Gellhorn. If the community mapping project turns out to be accurate, it might be positioned around a major bay. Even the trailer seems to have depicted this city, which many believe is inspired by Tampa.

The real-life city itself is quite big, being ranked just after Jacksonville and Miami in terms of population. There are several things to see here as well, like the Tampa Theatre or the University of Tampa. Rockstar's depiction of these iconic buildings would undoubtedly be detailed. The massive Cuban influence also makes Tampa worth including in GTA 6's Leonida.

3) Orlando

Orlando is centrally located in Florida and is most commonly known for its theme parks. The most popular of these, of course, is Walt Disney World, which many fans believe will be present in GTA 6's Leonida. Rockstar could also include SeaWorld Orlando or Universal Studios Florida in its version of Orlando.

The Grand Theft Auto 6 mapping project believes there might be a massive lake in the map's center. There are several lakes around the real-life Orlando, so Rockstar's version of the city could be positioned around this in-game lake.

4) Key West

Key West is an island city in the southernmost tip of Florida, and this would make for a unique location in GTA 6's Leonida. The mapping project marks a location that seemingly depicts the Florida Keys archipelago. It's known as Gator Keys in the Rockstar Universe, which was even supposed to appear in the original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

We can see a region that looks like the Florida Keys in the GTA 6 trailer as well. The mapping project suggests there might be a Naval Air Station in the Gator Keys area, along with a small town that may be named Sundown.

5) Tallahassee

Tallahassee is the capital of Florida, and it deserves to be included in GTA 6's Leonida simply due to this fact alone. As a capital city, if it was included in-game, the place would have plenty of historical and government buildings to explore.

Tallahassee is located in the mid-northern portion of Florida, so Rockstar could also position it somewhere around the mid-northern region for Grand Theft Auto 6.

The mapping project hasn't been able to offer much information about these sections of the map, as they weren't featured in the leaks or the trailer.
