Pfister Growler debuted in GTA Online back in August 2021 and is listed for sale on Legendary Motorsport for $1,627,000 or a $1,220,050 Trade Price. Sleek looks, high top speed, and customizability make it a good vehicle to have. However, you won't regret much by missing it, especially in 2025 when there are a lot more cars to choose from, many of which also have useful upgrades.
So, if you are on the fence about getting it, and want to know about any potential downsides, here are are 5 reasons to avoid Pfister Growler in GTA Online in 2025.

Here are 5 reasons why you might want to avoid Pfister Growler in GTA Online in 2025
1) Can spin out at high speed
As mentioned, one of the pros of Pfister Growler (made podium vehicle in the January 2, 2025, GTA Online weekly update) is its high top speed. That being said, along with speed, it is crucial a vehicle handles well too, but this ride does not maintain that balance much.
It is easy for Growler to spin out of control while making turns at high speed. This can lead to frequent crashes and slowdowns, which can be quite frustrating during missions and races.
2) Incompatible with Drift Tuning upgrade
Due to Pfister Growler's tendency to spin out, some like using it for drifting. In fact, this is a popular activity among players. Rockstar Games added a Drift Tuning upgrade, that especially aids this ability, for certain cars in late 2023.
Unfortunately, Growler isn't among them. This also means it cannot participate in GTA Online Drift Races. So, if you want a good drift car (that's compatible with Drift Tuning as well), you would be better off looking at other options, like the Dinka Jester RR. It too has a great top speed, good looks, as well as high customizability.
3) There are better sports cars available
Pfister Growler falls in the GTA Online sports cars category, which is usually highlighted when in need of a fast vehicle. If that is why you are considering Growler, there are better deals available.
If you don't have any issues paying a bit more, then Jester RR, again, is a neat alternative. On the other hand, rides like Benefactor Schlagen GT or Ocelot Pariah are faster, and priced within a similar range.
4) Incompatible with Missle Lock-On Jammer
The Missile Lock-On Jammer is an incredibly useful upgrade, as guided missiles cannot lock onto any vehicles equipped with it. It was only available to a select few rides initially but was opened up to a lot more existing cars with the GTA Online Agents of Sabotage update.
Sadly, Pfister Growler wasn't among them. Once again, the Dinka Jester RR is an option that can dovetail with the Missile Lock-On Jammer upgrade. To install it, you need a Celebrity Solutions Agency with a vehicle workshop.
5) Incompatible with Armor Plating
Armor Plating is another defensive upgrade that can be installed at your Agency's workshop, and it enhances a vehicle's explosive resistance. Pfister Growler isn't compatible with this one too, and can easily be blown up, which isn't ideal from the perspective of PvP or PvE.
So, instead of spending $1.6 million (or $1.2 million if you unlock the Trade Price) on Pfister Growler, you should get something like the Bravado Buffalo STX that is compatible with Armor Plating, Missile Lock-On Jammer, bullet-resistant windows, has a faster top speed, and can even be weaponized.
It will cost more ($2,150,000 base and $1,612,500 Trade Price), but overall is a value-for-money deal in GTA Online in 2025.
Note that Pfister Growler is the Diamond Casino Podium Vehicle through January 8, 2025. So those still interested should try getting it for free first.
