Rockstar Games added the Benefactor XLS in GTA Online back in the summer of 2016. The SUV was introduced under the Further Adventures in Finance and Felony DLC but was removed from its respective website in June 2023 along with several other cars. Some of these rides are now occasionally made available for purchase in the multiplayer with every weekly update.
While the XLS isn't incredibly impressive, especially in terms of performance and customizability, it has some good qualities. For those interested, here are five reasons to own a Benefactor XLS in GTA Online in 2025.

Comfortable handling and 4 other reasons to own a Benefactor XLS in GTA Online
1) Decent looks
Most vehicles featured in Grand Theft Auto games are usually based on one or a combination of some real-life vehicles. The case isn't any different for the Benefactor XLS, as its design looks to be based on the Mercedes GL Class X166 overall.
Seemingly, some inspiration also has been taken from the BMW X5 as well as the Hyundai Santa Fe's third generation variant, particularly for the headlights, giving the SUV some decent looks.
2) Good for freeroam
Free-roaming around the map of Los Santos and Blaine County can be a very relaxing experience, especially for those tired of grinding heists and business missions. Although there isn't any shortage of fast vehicles in GTA Online, zipping past the map won't provide the best experience.
So, while Benefactor XLS' top speed is a bit disappointing in terms of competitive performance, the pace feels almost perfect for casual free roaming. The ability to fit up to four players opens up the opportunity to do the same with friends online as well.
3) Comfortable handling
Another factor that helps Benefactor XLS in providing a good enough driving experience is its handling. Manuevering this SUV is pretty comfortable, and since it cannot achieve a very high top speed anyway, players should be able to keep it under control in most situations.
There seems to be a bit of understeer, which is noticable during sharp turns, but it isn't anything that a decently experienced GTA Online driver would not be able to manage.
4) Very affordable
Prior to its removal, Benefactor XLS used to be sold on the Legendary Motorsport website and had a standard price of $253,000. Such an amount can be recouped easily by completing FIB Files or Salvage Yard Vehicle Robberies in the game. Additionally, since XLS is a removed car, it can be considered a bit of an exclusive.
However, it should be noted that removed cars that are added back temporarily can also be sold at Simeon's Premium Deluxe Motorsport Showroom, LS Car Meet Test Track, or at the Luxury Autos showroom instead of their respective website. They can even be made the Diamond Casino Podium Vehicle or the LS Car Meet Prize Ride for the week in which they are made available.
5) Also affordable to upgrade completely
Along with a relatively cheap price tag, upgrading Benefactor XLS completely is quite affordable. It can be equipped with the top Body Armor, EMS (engine) Upgrade, and other modifications for around $263,500, which is a steal as far as GTA Online economy is concerned.
One downside is that XLS lacks in terms of visual customizations, but as already established, it looks decent enough in its standard avatar, and doesn't really need much enhancement.
