The Emperor ETR1 is a Super Car that debuted in GTA Online in July 2016 under the Cunning Stunts update. The game has welcomed many more cars in that category since then, but this vehicle is still a pretty decent purchase as it boasts some useful traits.

You can consider purchasing the ETR1 in preparation of the upcoming Summer Update. This is because the update will introduce a new bounty-hunting business and some dispatch missions in which this car might prove useful.

Without further ado, let's take a look at five reasons to own an Emperor ETR1 in GTA Online as of June 2024.

Bulletproof rear and other reasons to own an Emperor ETR1 in GTA Online

1) Good looks

The Emperor ETR1 can be a great option for those who like good-looking cars in GTA Online. Its design seems to have been inspired by real-life vehicles like the Toyota 86, R&D Sport Subaru BRZ GT300, Gazoo Racing Lexus LFA, Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3, and possibly even the Toyota FT-1 Concept.

The ETR1's exaggerated fenders and its front end, featuring lots of curves and dips, set it apart from many other cars in the game.

2) Good top speed and acceleration

Besides good looks, the Emperor ETR1 also offers good performance. However, you must upgrade the car completely to get the best out of it. This will cost you a bit of cash but is absolutely worth it. After complete upgradation, the vehicle hits a 120.75 mph (194.33 km/h) top speed, according to Broughy1322, an expert GTA Online vehicle YouTuber.

A fully upgraded ETR1 also accelerates rapidly, achieving a high speed within seconds of starting up. Needless to say, this makes the GTA Online Super Car a fine choice for missions involving travel and some multiplayer races.

3) Bulletproof rear

The Emperor ETR1's rear window is covered by a plate that renders it bulletproof in that area. The driver remains protected from any incoming bullets from behind in PvE and PvP.

If the upcoming GTA Online Summer Update also ends up featuring such missions, this car would be one of the best choices to easily complete them.

4) Only available for a limited time

The Emperor ETR1 is one of the many cars removed from GTA Online last summer. While these vehicles are available for use to those who owned them before their removal, they cannot be bought from any in-game automobile websites now.

That being said, Rockstar Games occasionally brings back a few of those cars for a limited time. In this GTA Online weekly update, the ETR1 is up for grabs at Simeon's Premium Deluxe Motorsport. Note that it will once again be removed from the game after June 12, 2024.

5) 40% discount

Not only is the Emperor ETR1 back in GTA Online this week, but there is a generous 40% discount on it. The Super Car's original price tag is $1,995,000.

The vehicle might be made available again in the future, but there's no way to tell exactly when. Moreover, it isn't known if such a discount will be available on it then. This is why now is the best time to add the ETR1 to your collection.
