There was a fair bit of excitement around GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties' release due to its featured content. The big 2024 summer DLC held a lot of promise, and while some of its additions are quite fun, they somewhat fail to deliver on fans' expectations. Even the new vehicles aren't exactly refreshing or unique, besides the law enforcement vehicles that at least feel a bit distinct.
In this article, we will look at five reasons why the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties update fails to live up to expectations.

Underwhelming flagship car and 4 other reasons why the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties update fails to live up to expectations
1) Low business payout

Bottom Dollar Bail Enforcement is the new business introduced in the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties update. Players can use it to launch bounty hunting missions that are quite decent, but the payout doesn't feel worth the time and effort in the long run.
The Most Wanted Target (only available once per day) pays a little over $100,000; whereas the standard targets yield around $30,000 or $40,000. Acquiring this business costs millions, and the low returns make the entire ordeal less exciting.
2) Less diverse Dispatch Work

Dispatch Work missions (a bit like Vigilante Missions from classic GTA games) are another new GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties update addition. They can be accessed from within a law enforcement vehicle and are simple but somewhat fun.
However, Dispatch Work missions don't have a lot of diversity. These tasks essentially arrive in four types, which is why they could quickly become boring. Furthermore, the cop cars required to unlock Dispatch Work are incredibly expensive.
3) Underwhelming flagship car

Overflod Pipistrello was GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties' flagship car. The ride was announced months in advance, even before the summer DLC's name and release date was confirmed, and has been made available to GTA + subscribers for free a week before regular players.
That being said, Pipistrello is pretty underwhelming. It has an average top speed, ordinary customization options, and no Imani Tech or HSW compatibility, yet costs a whopping $2,950,000 on Legendary Motorsport.
4) Almost nothing for beginners
Most of the additions in the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties update are expensive. Be it civilian cars, law enforcement vehicles, or the new Bail Enforcement business, players will have to spend millions to acquire these things, which makes them inaccessible to beginners.
As a result, they must keep grinding older content before diving into any of the new additions. And as already established, these things are fun, but may not keep players entertained for a long time. The Bottom Dollar Bounties drip feed content seems to have potential, but its release date remains unknown.
5) No GTA 6 tease
Grand Theft Auto 6 is the next big thing in the world of gaming. It is set to release during Fall 2025 and fans are eager to learn more about it. They expected Rockstar Games to include some sort of a teaser in the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties update, but that wasn't the case. A GTA 6 leaks character was also rumored to have been featured in its artwork, but even that has turned out to be a random individual.
While Rockstar had never indicated anything regarding a teaser in the update, a vague nod to Vice City or anything else related to the sequel would have been pretty enticing. It could have generated a little more excitement around the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties update.
