Rockstar Games introduced the Karin Boor in GTA Online in continuation of the Los Santos Drug Wars update in 2023. This car falls in the game's Off-Road category and is pretty good at traversing rough terrain. It can be summarized as a decently fun vehicle, but players would be better off steering clear. Its price tag is quite hefty, and one can get much better deals.
Here are five reasons GTA Online's Karin Boor is not worth getting in 2024.

GTA Online Karin Boor: 5 reasons it isn't worth getting in 2024
1) Boxy design
Karin Boor is quite an odd-looking vehicle with a rather boxy design. It has quite a flat front end with little to no detailing, and the rest of its body isn't any better either. Rockstar seems to have taken inspiration for Boor's design from Subaru BRAT's second-generation model.
While JDM car enthusiasts may find it worth getting, those on the lookout for an attractive vehicle, luckily, have many other interesting GTA Online cars to choose from, even in the Off-Road category.
2) Poor top speed
GTA Online players can get the best performance out of their cars by equipping them with engine upgrades, turbo tuning, and other options. However, even with all these installed, the Karin Boor fails to impress.
Performance tests conducted by reputed Grand Theft Auto YouTuber Broughy1322 conclude that Boor can only hit a top speed of 112.50 mph (181.05 km/h) post complete upgradation, which isn't anything to write home about.
It may suffice for free-roaming and general traversal, but won't be of much help in multiplayer races.
3) Poor choice for PvP and missions
The Karin Boor cannot be equipped with any defensive upgrades such as Imani Tech or Armor Plating. It also isn't bullet-resistant from anywhere, so players won't find it of much use in PvP scenarios, especially against any griefer in Public sessions.
In fact, this car would be a poor choice for missions as well, since it won't provide any sort of protection to the occupants. We have already established how it is a rather slow vehicle, which means players would also have a hard time escaping their pursuers.
4) It is expensive
Heists, businesses, and GTA Online weekly update bonuses can help players make a lot of money. Doing that requires spending time and energy on grinding, which is why money shouldn't be wasted on underwhelming items such as the Karin Boor. Priced at $1,280,000 on Southern San Andreas Super Autos, the off-roader is quite expensive for what it offers in return.
Rockstar Games has made it the GTA Online Podium Vehicle through July 10, 2024, giving players a chance to get it for free until that date. This would be a much better way to acquire Karin Boor rather than buying it.
5) Much better alternatives at that price
Instead of spending $1,280,000 on something like the Karin Boor, players can go for other cars priced in a similar range. New Bottom Dollar Bounties update additions like the Annis Euros X32 or the Invetero Coquette D10, costing $1,499,000 and $1,500,000, respectively, are good options.
The former is compatible with HSW upgrades and the other has a pretty good top speed. Those looking for an Off-Road alternative can consider the new Declasse Yosemite 1500 that costs $1,205,000 and has a better design and good off-roading capabilities.
