GTA Online's Karin Previon is a Coupes and Tuners car that has been a part of the online multiplayer mode since 2021. It was added with the Los Santos Tuners update and managed to get a lot of attention from the community. However, after all these years, the car has lost its charm, mostly thanks to the various new vehicles that one can purchase in the game.
While it is the current Podium vehicle this week, GTA Online's Karin Previon is not worth purchasing in 2024 for several reasons. This article will further explore why and let you save your money and spend it on something more worthy.

5 reasons you shouldn't purchase GTA Online's Karin Previon
1) It has a basic look
While some players like the simple and plain design of GTA Online's Karin Previon, most others wish the car had some more flair or personality. Unfortunately, this car lacks these aesthetic features and has an extremely basic design.
Rockstar Games took inspiration from the real-life Lexus SC 300 (Z30), Toyota Soarer (Z30), and the 4th-generation Honda Prelude (BA/BB). All these cars are simple in real life, which is why the video-game variant is also basic. While this is not a disadvantage, you can pick from various other better-looking cars in 2024.
2) It's slow
GTA Online's Karin Previon might not be a Super or Sports car in the game but it still lacks speed and performance. This means you can't win races or complete high-speed missions when using this vehicle in the online multiplayer mode. This is a big disadvantage since almost every mission in the game has a chase sequence.
Previon's top speed caps at 115.50 mph (185.88 km/h) which isn't enough for these situations. Various other cars in GTA Online offer better speed, including the Fathom FR36 and the Ocelot F620. They not only look better but also deliver better performance.
3) It's pricy
Players who spend $1,490,000 on a vehicle in the online multiplayer look for speed, performance, and looks in the car. However, GTA Online's Karin Previon lacks all these features despite its high price tag. This is one of the reasons it soon fell into obscurity after its release.
Most players feel Rockstar Games made it overpriced, leading to its decline in popularity. Almost nobody wants to spend so much money on a car only to get subpar performance and speed out of it. This is another reason players are uninterested in the vehicle despite it being the Podium car for the ongoing GTA Online weekly update.
4) Not the best Tuners car
While GTA Online's Karin Previon falls under the Tuners category, it is not the best car that can apply this special upgrade in the game. There are two main upgrades that the compatible vehicles can apply: Lowered Vehicle Stance and Low Grip Tires. Both of them allow the car to drift more efficiently and stay on the road even at a high speed.
However, Karin Previon cannot deliver satisfactory performance despite having these upgrades. Hence, most players prefer going with other options like the Dinka Jester RR or the Karin Futo GTX. Both these vehicles are incredible at tackling corners and are some of the best picks for Drift Racing in GTA Online.
5) Bad price-to-performance ratio
As mentioned, GTA Online's Karin Previon is quite pricy for the performance and design that it offers. Its below-average performance makes it quite unpopular in the game; hence, there is no good reason to purchase it in 2024 as well.
Various other incredible cars are on sale this week, and players can use the ongoing discounts in GTA Online to purchase these vehicles for cheap. They offer a way better price-to-performance ratio compared to Karin Previon. It fails to pass as a good car since it cannot handle impacts thanks to its small and weak frame nor can it go fast to chase enemies or get away from them.
