There is some cut content from GTA 5 that deserves to be brought back in the forthcoming title, GTA 6. Many of these features were already present in previous titles but were removed from Grand Theft Auto 5 for various reasons. The hardware limitations on the PS3 and Xbox 360, which were considered last-gen consoles when the game came out, were a major reason for the many downgrades it had.
The same can't be said about Grand Theft Auto 6, as it's set to release on current-gen consoles, such as the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game has also been in development for over a decade, so fans expect the best features from it.
With that in mind, here is some cut content from GTA 5 that should be reintroduced in the next game.

Cut content from GTA 5 that should be brought back in GTA 6
1) Vigilante missions
Vigilante missions have always been among the most entertaining side activities in the series. They were especially entertaining in Grand Theft Auto 4, where you could search for wanted criminals on computers inside cop cars, and even hunt them down on foot. However, this turned out to be among the plenty of cut content from GTA 5, as the game doesn't have any vigilante missions at all.
Rockstar Games brought back vigilante missions in the series with the Dispatch Work missions in Grand Theft Auto Online's newly released Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC. This may be a hint that this feature is returning in GTA 6.
2) Restaurants
In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and its sequel, Grand Theft Auto 4, players can eat at different restaurants or fast food outlets. This feature seems to have ended up as cut content from GTA 5, however, as there are restaurants and fast food outlets all across Los Santos and Blaine County, but they have no purpose.
You can't dine in or enter most of these. In fact, Grand Theft Auto 5 has many buildings that can't be entered, which is something that shouldn't happen in the next game. Fans expect to see most of the map having enterable interiors in GTA 6.
3) Removed mini-games
Some mini-games in Grand Theft Auto 4, like air hockey, pool, and bowling may have ended up as cut content from GTA 5. Although newer games like tennis and golf are much appreciated, these mini-games being removed doesn't make much sense. As such, most fans want to see them return in the next game.
In addition, Rockstar could also bring back basketball in GTA 6, a mini-game that was introduced in San Andreas, but as a rather barebones feature. It should be revamped with AI opponents and even online play where you can challenge other players.
4) Gyms
Gyms are one of the best roleplaying elements in San Andreas, as they allow CJ to work out and build muscles or gain stamina. Being muscular helps with melee damage in the game and also makes CJ look buff.
Staying fit also means that you can run for longer and climb over obstacles much easier. It's hard to say if gyms were among the cut content from GTA 5 or if Rockstar never intended to implement them.
The game has a location based on the iconic Muscle Beach but the gym (Muscle Sands Gym) isn't usable. There have been rumors that GTA 6 will have a dynamic body mechanic along with several gyms, and these were apparently revealed in the 2022 leaks.
5) 6-star wanted level
The 6-star wanted level is something fans look forward to seeing in the next game. This was a staple in the 3D Universe Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, where it meant that the military would be deployed.
Despite having a military base, military personnel, and countless military vehicles, the 6-star wanted level ended up as removed or cut content from GTA 5. As such, Rockstar should consider bringing this feature back in GTA 6.
