2024 is about to end and it has been a relatively good period for GTA Online players. Rockstar Games recently released a new DLC and the player base is busy exploring the new missions and features. Although the game is gradually moving toward the end of its life cycle, the developers continue to provide new features and we can even expect a few additions in 2025.
This article discusses five things that we can potentially expect from Grand Theft Auto Online in 2025.

5 things that we can expect from GTA Online in 2025
1) Drip-feed content from the December 2024 DLC
The GTA Online Agents of Sabotage DLC has yet to unveil some content. Rockstar Games added four new DLC missions, two new side missions, six new vehicles, and several other minor changes. However, data miners have discovered some other content that can potentially be released in 2025.
Rockstar Games also announced several new features in its official Newswire for the DLC update. The following are some of the new features that may be released in 2025:
- New police vehicles
- New planes and helicopters
- New race missions
- New regular vehicles
2) New DLCs
While this has yet to be officially announced, we can expect to get at least two new GTA Online DLCs in 2025. Considering Rockstar’s usual practices, the new DLCs might be released around summer 2025 and winter 2025. Take-Two Interactive (Rockstar’s parent company) previously stated that the studio “will continue to support Grand Theft Auto Online with additional content updates.”
The recently released GTA Online Winter 2024 DLC was a part of it, and we can expect similar expansions in the future as well. However, this is a personal opinion based on recent observations and has not been confirmed.
3) Easter eggs for Grand Theft Auto 6
With the Grand Theft Auto 6 release date gradually approaching, we can expect to see some Easter eggs and references related to it in GTA Online. Rockstar Games took the same route before the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, and it is also expected sometime in 2025.
While the exact release date has yet to be announced, Take-Two Interactive recently confirmed that GTA 6 is on track to be released in fall 2025. Therefore, we can expect to see its references in Grand Theft Auto Online before that period, most probably after the summer 2025 DLC.
4) More police-themed content
The police-themed content is very popular in GTA Online and Rockstar Games continues to add more of it. While the Agents of Sabotage DLC already added a few new cop-themed items, the data miners found more in the game files. Therefore, we can expect them to be released in 2025.
The leaked drip-feed cars from the GTA Online DLC included the following two police-themed vehicles: Invetero Coquette D10 Interceptor and Willard Faction Interceptor. While the game files also mention a tactical aircraft, it is currently unsure whether or not they are police-themed.
5) New business and missions
Along with the new content coming to GTA Online in the future, data miners also discovered a new business based on the McKenzie Field Hangar in Sandy Shores. Considering Rockstar Games’ previous practices, the new business may be officially released within the first quarter of the next year (March/April 2025).
As per data miners, the new business will unlock a few new missions. It is also going to be a purchasable business similar to the Darnell Bros. Garment Factory. Naturally, the player base is eagerly waiting for its release.
