GTA 6 is, without a doubt, one of the most hyped and highly anticipated video games ever. The long wait of 12 years has caused players to expect various things from the upcoming game. While most of the expected things are justifiable, some also don’t make any sense in the context of the game. Rockstar has yet to disclose details about the upcoming gameplay, and the wait is increasing expectations day by day.
With that being said, this article lists five unrealistic anticipations that Grand Theft Auto fans should not have from GTA 6.

5 unrealistic things fans should not expect from GTA 6's gameplay
1) Cross-platform play
GTA 6's crossplay feature is a pipe-dream at this point and fans shouldn't tie their hopes to it. Rockstar is very controlling of its online features and it has never allowed crossplay to date. Even if you have the same consoles, you will not be able to crossplay if the generations do not match. Fans have been requesting this option for ages and the studio seems uninterested in it.
In that case, expecting the upcoming game to have it may upset fans in the future. Therefore, players should only expect to play with their identical console users. The same goes for Xbox where Series X players may not be able to play with those who have the Series S.
2) Full manual customization options
Although Rockstar has added some of the best customizable cars to GTA 5 Online, it controls the entire thing where players can apply only those effects that it has added. Now, however, fans are expecting more detailed customizations in GTA 6.
While we can expect to see some levels of improvement in the upcoming gameplay, fans should not wait for full manual control over car customizations in GTA 6. Allowing them to make their own vehicles might break the game. Therefore, car enthusiasts should reconsider their expectations from the upcoming game.
3) Life-like NPC features
The NPCs in the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer were some of the most realistic-looking in the Grand Theft Auto series. GTA 6 NPCs drive expensive cars, have various body types, and also better interact with each other. However, fans should not expect them to be like real-life humans.
Unlike the protagonists, NPCs are likely to have fewer expressions and body movements. Their reactions may also become repetitive after a while. Since these characters are only used to fill the void of the open world, players should not expect them to act like other major characters.
4) Realistic damages
While many fans expect GTA 6's car deformation physics to be realistic, it is practically not possible in a video game. BeamNG.drive is known for having some of the best damage effects in a video game, but it, too, is far away from that of real life.
Therefore, while seeing improved damage effects is a justifiable wish, one should not expect the video game to have life-like physics and deformations. The same goes for other environmental objects such as trees, houses, roads, etc.
5) A complete glitch-free experience
While everyone expects a bug-free gaming experience, it is not always possible. However, Rockstar is known for providing the most refined gameplay experience. Still, some minor glitches might slide below the radar and make it to the final version.
Rockstar is also known for keeping some harmless glitches in its games so that players can enjoy them. Therefore, the GTA 6 gameplay might also have some minor bugs, at least during its release period.
