Money can get you anything in GTA Online, be it a firearm, the latest vehicles, planes, yachts, or even an entire business. In fact, Rockstar keeps adding new things to purchase just to keep the experience fresh for everyone. While most purchases can make your life easy, some are borderline useless and a waste of money. Hence, players should thoroughly research before spending money on anything.

With that being said, this article lists five of the most useless things that every GTA Online player should avoid purchasing in 2025.

1) Galaxy Super Yacht

The Galaxy Super Yacht is one of the most expensive yet useless things in GTA Online that you should avoid at all costs. While the vehicle looks intriguing from the outside, it serves no useful purpose. Rockstar Games does not allow you to drive the Galaxy Super Yacht like other boats. Instead, it only has some designated stop points that you can choose to go to.

The yacht captain charges you a fee to move the boat every time, and after a brief cutscene, you spawn at the selected spot. While Rockstar included six contact missions in the Galaxy Super Yacht, the payout of these missions is very low. The base price of the vehicle starts at $6,000,000, and the missions only pay around $20,000.

2) Orbital Canon

The Orbital Canon inside the Facility is a favorite for griefers in GTA Online, as it allows them to kill other players easily. It provides you with a satellite missile launcher that allows you to find any player on the map and shoot them from above.

However, the weapon is useless for two main reasons. Firstly, each shot costs you $500,000 (manual shot) and $750,000 (automatic shot). Secondly, there is no guarantee that the cannon will hit the target as they can easily hide under bridges and flyovers. Hence, it should be avoided at all costs.

3) Buckingham Luxor Deluxe

The Buckingham Luxor Deluxe is currently the most expensive aircraft with a fixed base price of $10,000,000. At this price, you may expect some special features and facilities from the aircraft. However, Rockstar Games added no such things.

The only notable features of the Buckingham Luxor Deluxe are its expensive price tag and the golden paint. Other than that, it is technically the same as the regular Buckingham Luxor. Therefore, if you are serious about savings as well as making money in GTA Online, you should avoid this aircraft.

4) Diamond Casino Penthouse

Similar to the Buckingham Luxor Deluxe, the Diamond Casino Penthouse is also an expensive waste that sits unutilized most of the time. The base price of the property starts at $1,500,000 and can go up to around $6,500,000.

While you can surely celebrate the New Year in GTA Online inside the Penthouse, you may not want to stay indoors for long. Moreover, even though Rockstar Games offers seven Penthouse missions, the low payouts are very disappointing.

5) New upgrades for the Benefactor Terrorbyte

The GTA Online Agents of Sabotage DLC introduced the following four new upgrades for the Benefactor Terrorbyte:

• Master Control Terminal - $500,000
• Collectible Scanner - $1,290,000
• Silent Running - $425,000
• Missile Lock-On Jammer - $425,000

While the first two upgrades can be useful for those who like to grind the sandbox multiplayer, the remaining two are not. The vehicle can easily withstand up to 34 homing missiles. Therefore, applying the Missile Lock-On Jammer is of no good use.

Moreover, since it is already a tank in itself, you don’t need to hide from other players using Silent Running. Ergo, you should avoid these two upgrades.
