The GTA 6 map is currently one of the biggest mysteries for Grand Theft Auto fans. Even though Rockstar Games showed 90 seconds of the upcoming game’s official footage, fans still could not comprehend what the new open world would look like as a whole. Nonetheless, the community is expecting some new improvements, and the first trailer gave us promising hints.

This article lists five improvements to the GTA 6 map that will revolutionize the open-world genre.

5 revolutionary features Rockstar Games should include in the GTA 6 map

1) Evolving world

An evolving world should be one of the top new features in the GTA 6 map. The upcoming open world should evolve showing new changes and features. The inclusion of seasons is one of the ways to do so. Rockstar Games should incorporate all seasons and multiple weather patterns that change with time.

The environment and NPCs should also adapt to these patterns and change their appearances. The seasons should last longer so that the in-game world does not appear to change rapidly. Constructions are also a great way to depict this effect. However, Rockstar Games should program the under-constructed buildings to finish at one point.

2) Include multiple cities

The GTA 6 map should have multiple major cities. Having only one major city and other smaller cities does not encourage players to go outside the main area. The map of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was a pioneer in including multiple major cities.

Players should have some incentive to go outside of the main area and stay there. Including multiple cities in the Grand Theft Auto 6 map will surely make the open world more interesting to explore. Moreover, it will also help in proper player distribution in the online multiplayer mode.

3) More accessible buildings

Buildings in the GTA 6 map should open their doors for players to explore. While making every building accessible is technologically very demanding, Rockstar Games should consider making at least the essential buildings accessible. They include stores, shopping malls, cafes, restaurants, hospitals, etc.

The open world should be accessible both internally and externally. Otherwise, the inaccessible buildings look like decorative pieces just to fill the gaps. Another thing to note is that GTA players should be able to move in and out of buildings seamlessly without any loading screens.

4) Crossplay integration

Crossplay integration is one of the highly requested features for the GTA 6 map. While many games currently allow players from various gaming platforms to play together, Rockstar Games is still very conservative about it.

Adding and showing the crossplay option during the Grand Theft Auto 6 marketing process will increase its hype even more. The cross-play option will also make the gameplay more immersive with players from different domains.

5) Improved suburban and wildlife

While Rockstar Games is very skilled in developing city and urban environments, it should also show its expertise in developing suburban and remote areas for the GTA series. Red Dead Redemption 2 already set a standard in this regard and the studio should try to improve even more.

The GTA 6 screenshots from the first trailer showed various wild areas that fans are eager to explore. As mentioned before, the non-metro areas should also have some incentives so that players go outside and decide to stay there for a while.
