5 weapons Rockstar should add in GTA Online Summer Update 2024

Rockstar Games had previously announced that the GTA Online Summer Update 2024 would be one of the biggest DLCs, and fans are expecting to see many new things in it. While vehicles, missions, and clothes are some of the most common things that get added with every DLC, new weapons are very scarce. Therefore, Rockstar Games should add new weapons in the upcoming update, as well as bring back some OG weapons, to enhance the overall gameplay experience.

That said, this article lists five weapons that Rockstar Games should consider adding to the GTA Online Summer Update 2024.

5 weapons that should be added to the GTA Online Summer Update 2024

1) Assault Sniper

The Assault Sniper is a removed weapon from the Grand Theft Auto 5 Story Mode. But, its traces are still available in the game files. Rockstar Games teased the weapon multiple times through official artwork and posters. However, it was never released in the final version of the game.

Data miners found its complete model and HUD icons in both the original and Enhanced versions of the game. Since the weapon is already present in the game files, the studio should consider releasing it as part of the upcoming GTA Online Summer Update 2024.

2) Flamethrower

The Flamethrower is an OG weapon in the Grand Theft Auto series that was also cut from the current game. It is one of the most fun weapons to use when you want to unleash havoc on innocent NPCs.

Since the current multiplayer game has various fire-related missions, it is best that Rockstar add the Flamethrower in the GTA Online Summer Update 2024.

3) Chainsaw

The Chainsaw is one of the most lethal weapons that can kill anyone within seconds of contact. While it was a part of the GTA Chinatown Wars gameplay, the weapon never made it past the title.

Therefore, Rockstar Games should bring back the Chainsaw with the next GTA Online Summer Update 2024. The weapon was also available in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Therefore, re-adding it to the HD Universe version will certainly rejoice the fans.

4) Stun grenade

The Stun grenade is a very popular weapon in the combat-related games. Although Grand Theft Auto Online is not an entirely war-based game, it has its fair share of combats. Therefore, Rockstar Games should consider introducing the Stun grenade to the series with the GTA Online Summer Update 2024.

The multiplayer game already has the animations for stun and shock reactions. Therefore, it should not be difficult for the studio to add the weapon in the GTA Online Summer Update 2024 and program the reactions.

5) Katana

The Katana is also a fan-favorite weapon that did not make it to Grand Theft Auto 5. Many players often complain that Rockstar Games removed such an OG weapon from one of its most ambitious projects.

Therefore, the studio should add it to the HD Universe with the GTA Online Summer Update 2024. Currently, players rely on Grand Theft Auto 5 mods to use the Katana in Story Mode. Officially adding it to the multiplayer version will certainly please the fans.
