GTA 5 Online has an endless list of activities and Rockstar Games keeps adding content to it regularly via DLCs. However, offline players need not be disappointed as there is a lot to explore in the title's story mode as well. Despite the game being out for a decade, many players haven't discovered all that it has to offer, since most head over to the multiplayer after beating the campaign.

So, in this article, we will take a look at five of the best things to do in GTA 5 if you're offline.

Finding the ghost of Mount Gordo and 6 other best things to do in GTA 5 if you're offline

1) Find the underwater spaceship

There are many easter eggs related to aliens in this game and one of them, a crashed spaceship, can be found deep in the ocean at the northern end of the map.

You will require a scuba gear outfit or a submersible to reach it. The latter can be obtained by buying the Sonar Collections Dock, which becomes purchasable after the Merryweather Heist in Grand Theft Auto 5.

2) Find the underwater hatch

Another cool underwater explorable in this game is a mysterious hatch, located off the coast from the San Chianski Mountain Range. Using scuba gear or a submersible is, again, the best way to reach it.

Upon getting close to the hatch, you shall be able to hear a tapping sound, which is a message in Morse Code from a character that features in Grand Theft Auto 4.

3) Collect spaceship parts

Grand Theft Auto 5 features a side quest in which you, as Franklin, need to find 50 spaceship parts across Los Santos and Blaine County. To begin the quest, you must start the Strangers and Freaks mission, 'Far Out,' whose icon spawns out in Blaine County.

Collecting all 50 parts can take some time, but in the end, you will be rewarded with the Space Docker, a very unique off-road vehicle.

4) Find the ghost of Mount Gordo

In addition to aliens and spaceships, Grand Theft Auto 5 also features a ghost that can be found at the top of Mount Gordo. This is the ghost of Jolene Cranley-Evans, who can be spotted between the in-game hours of 23:00 and 00:00.

You can also listen to her scream, which is quite a chilling experience. This is one of the creepiest things in the GTA series so far, but sadly cannot be interacted with as getting too close makes the ghost disappear.

5) Hunt the Big Foot

The Big Foot was a popular myth associated with Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. While the mythical beast was not a part of that game, Rockstar eventually included it in its 2013 release, sort of.

Upon completing GTA 5 100%, you will unlock a final Stranger and Freaks mission that can only be accessed as Franklin. This quest will put you face to face with the Big Foot, but there is an odd surprise.

6) Freeroam

You may have traveled across Los Santos and Blaine County many times while playing GTA 5's story mode missions. However, exploring the map outside of them can be quite refreshing, allowing you to truly appreciate all its details.

The in-game radio is also pretty good and listening to songs on it when driving across the map can be a fun way to spend time offline.

7) Try mods

The Grand Theft Auto community has crafted a wide variety of GTA 5 mods in the last 10 years. They range from serious graphical enhancements and different character models to completely new vehicles, gameplay mechanics, and even maps in the title's story mode.

So, if you're looking for something fun and unique in the offline mode, installing mods can be the perfect solution. However, do keep in mind that mods are only available on PC and cannot be taken online.
