Can you sell Salvage Yard in GTA 5 Online?

The Salvage Yard in GTA 5 Online was added to the game as a new type of property in The Chop Shop DLC, a recent content update launched in December 2023.

This Chop Shop property isn't as big a moneymaker as some of the heists, but the Vehicle Robbery missions provided here can be quite fun, and you occasionally get the chance to acquire a vehicle for free. Is it possible to sell the Salvage Yard in GTA 5 Online?

Unfortunately, as mentioned previously, there's no way to sell the Salvage Yard in GTA 5 Online. This is a type of property that you can only buy once, which is why you need to make the decision carefully.

That said, if you don't like the location of your Salvage Yard in GTA 5 Online, you can trade it for another one. This is the only way you can get back some of the money you spent in the first place, but only if the new location is much cheaper.

So, although you can't sell the Salvage Yard in GTA 5 Online, here's how you can trade them:

• Go to the Maze Bank Foreclosures website.
• Choose a new Salvage Yard location on the map that you want to trade in your old property with.
• Choose to buy and renovate as you see fit.
• An alert will appear, asking if you want to proceed with the purchase; confirm your selection.

Once the purchase goes through, 60% of the total amount spent on the currently owned property (including the cost of upgrades) is subtracted from the total cost of the new property. Here are all the Salvage Yard locations you can choose from in Grand Theft Auto Online:

This method applies to most other properties in Grand Theft Auto Online. You can trade in your current property with a new one of the same type, but not directly sell them. Many fans believe this is an inconvenience that needs to change with the online mode in the next game, Grand Theft Auto 6.
