"Colorful, like TBOGT": Fans disclose their GTA 6 map menu preferences

Grand Theft Auto fans continue to discuss various details about the GTA 6 map, and recently, a thread emerged on the r/GTA6 subreddit about the upcoming game's map menu. A Redditor named Goku Fan (u/AnimeGokuSolos) shared a bunch of designs and asked the community what their preference was for the map menu of the highly anticipated title:

One Redditor named Orion-Pax_34 (u/Orion-Pax_34) commented:

“Colorful, like TBOGT levels of vivid.”

It is worth noting that Grand Theft Auto 4: The Ballad of Gay Tony has one of the best map menu designs where Rockstar Games put colorful text and icons. However, the other HD Universe Grand Theft Auto games use a black and grey tone that dominates the screen.

Another user, Fushi (u/Fushigibama) commented that Rockstar Games should give players the option to choose their own GTA 6 map menu design.

Redditor WestSixtyFifth (u/WestSixtyFifth) stated that the map should automatically toggle between both options:

“Colorful during the day, dark during night, with a toggle. Hopefully the colorful one mimics the Miami vibes.”

This is certainly a great suggestion, considering that many real-life digital maps use this feature.

Another user named GoldenRoku (u/quackcow144) asked for a GTA 6 map menu similar to Google Maps:

“Colored more like satellite view on Google Maps but more vibrant. The black and white map on GTA 5 got boring and didn't make the map look that interesting…”

“Neon-themed or give us many options to choose instead.”

It is worth noting that GTA Vice Cit's map has such features where the entire map is filled with color and the signature pink neon tone.

Rumored details about the GTA 6 map

Rockstar Games has yet to reveal Grand Theft Auto 6's full map. However, the leaks and the first trailer gave plenty of hints that allowed dataminers to prepare a very detailed outline of the upcoming open world. According to the GTA 6 mapping project, the title will have an outline similar to the real-life state of Miami.

While Vice City is expected to be the main city, there are also some other locations such as Yorktown, Red Hill, Port Gellhorn, etc., which will be a part of the map. Some fans also believe that Rockstar Games will add the Caribbean Islands to the game.
