Fans have been wondering if Rockstar has been backporting GTA 6 assets into Grand Theft Auto Online, and if so, could the Bollokan Envisage be an example? The recently released Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC has arrived alongside several new vehicles. Now, with Grand Theft Auto 6 being close to its release date (Fall 2025), some speculate that this recent content update may be reusing assets from the upcoming game.

We think that it's entirely possible for Rockstar to be backporting content from the upcoming game into Grand Theft Auto Online. So, the Bollokan Envisage could've been backported from GTA 6. Here's a detailed analysis of why that might be true.

Why the Bollokan Envisage may have been backported from GTA 6

The Bollokan Envisage is a new car added alongside the GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC and it's based on a unique concept car — the Hyundai N Vision 74. An interesting fact is that this is the second Bollokan car to appear in the game, with the first one, the Prairie, being available in the Grand Theft Auto 5 base game. This isn't what makes the vehicle special, however.

Instead, what makes the Bollokan Envisage seem out of place in Grand Theft Auto Online is its detailing. Fans have been noticing that a lot of the vehicles added in the last few DLCs seem too detailed for the game. The interiors in particular Naturally, this led to speculations about Rockstar backporting vehicles that they've already created for Grand Theft Auto 6 into Grand Theft Auto Online.

Although there's no concrete proof of this, one can speculate that Rockstar could've done this simply because it would make their work easier. Besides, it would make sense for them to bring over vehicles they've already added to the upcoming game. Grand Theft Auto 6 is set in the same universe as its predecessor, so any modern cars being added to GTA Online should exist in the upcoming game.

Instead of making separate models for the same cars, it's more sensible to just make them once and port them over. We are yet to see any of the unidentified vehicles from the GTA 6 trailer in Grand Theft Auto Online, however, so Rockstar might be deliberately keeping them hidden for the next game.

Some of the other cars released alongside the Bollokan Envisage also share a similar level of detail. The Ubermacht Niome, for instance, has been observed to have several details even in the car's exterior that the average Grand Theft Auto Online car doesn't have. On a related note, it was recently reported that some Cayo Perico assets could've been backported from GTA 6.

At the end of the day, this is all speculation. To confirm if Rockstar has indeed backported Grand Theft Auto 6 content into Grand Theft Auto Online, we'll have to wait until Fall 2025.
