GTA 6 fans usually keep themselves busy in the wait for the long-awaited title by discussing expected gameplay mechanics, plot theories, and concepts of its potential features. Redditor u/armouredgorillas also uploaded a concept art for the game's Pause Menu Screen recently and it has garnered a thousand upvotes as of this writing.
As can be seen in the image above, it includes sections for story, compendium, challenges, and total completion with each of them featuring a different artwork.
That said, many pointed out that the concept looked more apt for Ubisoft's Far Cry franchise instead of a Grand Theft Auto game. Here are a few notable comments:
Some even suggested that instead of using a bear for the concept Pause Menu Screen's compendium section, the creator should have included an alligator or a flamingo, both of which were seen in the first GTA 6 trailer.
The GTA 6 map will be set in a state called Leonida, likely based on Florida, which is why using either of the two aforementioned creatures instead would have been a much better fit.
As far as the actual Pause Menu Screen is concerned, it could be really long before that gets unveiled as the title's release is set for a little more than a year from now.
GTA 6's Reddit community analyzes a fan-made Pause Menu concept while waiting for the game's Fall 2025 release window
Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, held its Q4 2024 earnings call on May 16, 2024, in which Fall of the Calendar Year 2025 was confirmed as the official GTA 6 release window.
Some even expected official screenshots of the title to drop before the earnings call, but that, unfortunately, didn't happen. Since there is quite a while left for Fall 2025, fans will have to keep themselves entertained through such concept art and discussions. More information on the game is expected to arrive later this year, but there is currently no way to tell exactly when.
Those waiting for the sequel can keep themselves busy with Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer mode, GTA Online, as well.
Notably, it was revealed at Take-Two's latest earnings call that GTA 5 has sold approximately 200 million copies. Furthermore, the GTA franchise has now sold over 425 million copies collectively.
Needless to say, GTA 6 is expected to do very well in the sales department with Take-Two confident of Rockstar delivering an unparalleled entertainment experience with it.
