GTA 5 4th of July update: All you need to know

On the occasion of Independence Day, Rockstar has released a GTA 5 4th of July update. It includes a bunch of new content, bonuses, and more, as is customary of Grand Theft Auto Online weekly patches. In addition, there's even a new car added as part of the drip-feed vehicles from the Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC.

So here's everything you need to know about this latest Grand Theft Auto Online weekly update, including all 4th of July unlockables, cash and RP bonuses, etc.

Everything new in the GTA 5 4th of July update

Rockstar has added a lot of new content through the latest GTA Online weekly update released on July 4, 2024. The game now has fresh log-in unlocks that are tied to the Independence Day theme. These include three hats, which are:

Fireworks Bucket Hat
Stars and Stripes Bucket Hat
Lady Liberty Bucket Hat

There are some additional clothing items that can be acquired as Business Battles drops currently:

Pißwasser Beer Hat
Benedict Beer Hat
Patriot Beer Hat
Supa Wet Beer Hat
Statue of Happiness T-Shirt

Just like every GTA 5 4th of July update, all Independence Day-themed vehicles and items — as well as the USA Parachute Bag — are 50% off. GTA+ subscribers will also be able to claim the Independence Day Jacket and Pants for free.

The Independence Day-themed vehicles include the Sovereign motorcycle and the Liberator monster truck. These two, along with the Caracara 4x4, the newly released Overflod Pipistrello, and even the Karin Boor from the Podium, are all draped in Independence Day-themed liveries.

Furthermore, the Stars and Stripes, Fighting Freedom, and Eagle Claw liveries are all available at a 50% discount. The Pipistrello costs $2,950,000 on Legendary Motorsport currently.

The available cash and RP bonuses added alongside the GTA 5 4th of July update include 3x cash and RP for Mobile Operations Missions, along with 2x cash and RP for Running Back (Remix) Adversary Mode. The current Weekly Challenge, applicable until July 10, includes completing 3 Mobile Operations Missions, which will get you an extra $100,000.

The Karin Boor, which is available as a Podium vehicle, is also one of the Salvage Yard Robbery vehicles in this update, and it's even claimable. The other two vehicles are the Invetero Coquette D10 and the Bravado Buffalo STX.

The Independence Day Special was a content update for GTA Online that was first released in 2014, and since then, the GTA 5 4th of July update has been a recurring event every year.
