GTA 5: How to fly a helicopter on PC

GTA 5 players find traveling from one place to another in a helicopter convenient, especially when it comes to completing heist missions. You can even avoid the rush of traffic and reach your destination much quicker in the game.

Once you have traveled to the helipad where the helicopter rests, follow the steps below to board it. Flying a helicopter is one of the most fun things you can do while playing the game. Here is how to fly a helicopter in GTA 5 on PC easily.

1) Entering the helicopter

If you know how to get inside a car, you can get in the helicopter. Press the “F” button while standing beside the helicopter to get in.

2) Ascending into the air

For taking off, you just need to press and hold the “W” button. Keep holding it till you reach a satisfactory altitude.

3) Navigating through the air

You can use your mouse or the number pad on your keyboard to move forward or in the direction of your choosing.

4) Steering the helicopter

To make turns, you need to press “A” to turn left and “D” to steer towards your right.

5) Using the weapon attachments

Some helicopters are equipped with firearms. To use them, just click the left mouse button. You can aim at your target using your mouse or the number pad on your keyboard.

6) Adjusting the view

You can adjust your camera angles by just pressing “V”. Shift between the three cameras according to your convenience.

7) Activating special equipment

You can activate the special equipment that your helicopter may have just by pressing “E”. You can also use it to switch your lights on or off.
