The “explode on impact” feature was added by Rockstar Games in GTA 5, and it might continue in GTA 6 as well. However, the player base has mixed opinions on it. Recently, a Redditor named trailerDayO (u/PartyCultural2436) shared a post on the r/GTA6 subreddit expressing dissatisfaction with the feature. While some fans agreed with them, others stated that it is a fun thing to enjoy in the current game.

Redditor u/PartyCultural2436 stated that they did not want the explode on impact to be one of the features in GTA 6. In Grand Theft Auto 5, when your vehicle falls from a height with a nose dive, it explodes into flames on the impact. The same thing also happens if you crash into a solid object with full force.

While the 2013 title is known for various mind-boggling realistic details, the explode on impact is certainly not the one. Many fans also agreed to the Redditor’s suggestion and shared their thoughts on it.

One user named -Mr-Bradley-D- (u/-Mr-Bradley-D-) commented that the crash mechanism in Grand Theft Auto 4 should return in GTA 6.

Some others also stated that the cars should deform rather than directly explode on the impact.

However, some fans disagreed with the original poster. They argued that while the feature is unrealistic, it makes the open world enjoyable at times.

It is worth noting that the Grand Theft Auto player base has been using this feature to troll the NPCs of Los Santos for ages. It is one of the crazy little details in GTA 5 where you can block certain parts of the flyovers and force the NPCs to drive off the cliff.

The NPCs will mindlessly drive down causing their cars to explode on the ground. You can create a pile of many damaged cars in the same spot. While the act is mostly harmless for the player, sometimes it attracts wanted levels.

GTA 6 is also expected to have some harmless bugs and glitches like this one in the gameplay. Grand Theft Auto 4 has the swing glitch and Grand Theft Auto 5 has the flyover glitches. Fans have been waiting to test the new NPC reactions since the first trailer release.

As the GTA 6 price is rumored to be higher than the previous titles, the studio should consider adding some fun things for players to enjoy.
