Rockstar Games' silence on GTA 6 has fans eager for any information on the upcoming title. All we know about the game officially so far comes from its debut trailer that was released over six months ago. While there's no way to tell exactly when its next trailer will be dropped, the news of Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, hosting an earnings call has made fans curious.

@GTAFocal on X posted a reminder for the same around an hour prior to this writing, and one of the responses to it expressed intrigue regarding screenshots.

Readers should note that neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two Interactive have said anything about releasing official GTA 6 screenshots ahead of the upcoming earnings call. But as information related to the highly anticipated title has often been dropped close to these events, fans expect more of the same this time around as well.

For instance, Redditor ThinkPool highlighted that Rockstar had removed multiple posts from its official Instagram page.

"Yesterday night 6 IG posts got removed. Now I ain’t saying this means something. I’m not going crazy either. Just saying. Have a good day."

Although this doesn't confirm the arrival of any news on the Grand Theft Auto sequel, it does build a bit of intrigue. A comment on this post by Gwynex also expressed hope about screenshots possibly being released ahead of the earnings call.

"There will be an earnings call (idk maybe in 12 hours?) maybe they are going to release some screenshots in a couple of hours."

There are also fans who are keeping their expectations low, such as Limp-Simple4802 who uploaded a Grand Theft Auto 6 version of the Hard to Swallow Pills meme.

That said, the prevailing sentiment in the fanbase seems that some information related to GTA 6 should be provided at the earnings call, a corporate comment at the very least, as suggested by dont_fret_no.

"I do not believe that to be true. We’ll at least get a “corporate comment” like “We’re still on track for a 2025 release”. And that’s good enough for me."

For those wondering, Take-Two Interactive's August 2024 earnings call will be held in a few hours from the time of writing.

Fans expect more information on GTA 6 around Take-Two's August 2024 earnings call

Just ahead of Take-Two Interactive's November 2023 earnings call, Rockstar Games announced the arrival of the first official GTA 6 trailer. Fall 2025 was then revealed as the upcoming title's official release window at Take-Two's May 2024 earnings call.

None of these announcements were hinted at beforehand, which is why fans expect another surprise announcement ahead of the August 2024 earnings call.

Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2's screenshots were also dropped between their respective first and second trailers, and if Rockstar is going to follow a similar marketing pattern for its next release, releasing Grand Theft Auto 6 screenshots now would seem quite apt.

However, there is no way to confirm if that is going to happen, we won't have to wait too long to find out. In the meantime, fans can check out the latest bonuses and discounts introduced with today's GTA Online weekly update.
