Eagle-eyed Grand Theft Auto fans spotted a GTA Vice City Easter egg (the title's Tiki Statue Hidden Package) in the official artwork of the new GTA Online update – Agents of Sabotage. Interestingly, there is another Easter egg related to Rockstar Games' 2002 release in one of the update's newly added missions – The Fine Art File.
That said, finding the Easter egg requires some luck and may even take a few playthroughs. For those interested, here is everything you need to know about the Grand Theft Auto Vice City Easter egg in the Agents of Sabotage update.
GTA Vice City Easter egg in the new GTA Online update: What is it and How to find it
The Grand Theft Auto Vice City Easter egg is a sound effect that used to play upon collecting a Hidden Package in the 2002 title. The same effect can be heard during The Fine Art File mission in the GTA Online Agents of Sabotage update.
However, to access this mission, you must purchase the Darnell Bros Garment Factory from Maze Bank Foreclosures for $2,350,000, since it is associated with the business.
How to find the GTA Vice City Easter egg in The Fine Art File
The Fine Art File has multiple possible targets, and you are assigned any one of them at random during the playthrough. This is purely based on luck, which is why it could take you a few tries to find this Easter egg.
The target of a particular playthrough will be revealed once you complete its three setup missions - EMP Charges, Approach Vehicle, and Facial Recognition. You will only be able to find this Vice City Easter egg in The Fine Art File's finale if your target is the Tiki Statue.
Where to find the Vice City Easter egg in The Fine Art File finale
During the finale, you will have to break into a penthouse, shut off its power supply using EMP charges, and make your way to a hidden room. The target will be in this hidden room's vault, which can be unlocked by bypassing its control panel.
If your target is the Tiki Statue, the GTA Vice City Easter egg sound effect will play as soon as you collect it.
It is also worth noting that a golden Tiki Statue will spawn at your Darnell Bros Garment Factory computer table after completing The Fine Art File with that as the target.
This is a rather small, but nice Easter egg for long-term fans of the franchise. Some fans expect such Easter eggs in Grand Theft Auto 6 as well, since it's based in Vice City, but that remains to be seen.
